This morning I said my goodbyes to Cisco. He would have been 18 this September 4th. As a final "good boy" act he passed away on his own while waiting for the vet, sparing me from the hard decision. I love my good boy. Rip Cisco.

If I was an employer and you couldn't do your job without AI I'd view you as a risk for trusting an often incorrect AI over your own expertise. Questioning if you even earned any possible degree for that job even. To me, relying on AI for your job shows competence.

I still think about good ol' Sheriff Hayseed now and then. If I ever revisit it, I'd do so many things different, it would be completely unrecognizable. I drew the boys as they exist in my head now. I think Todd would be Canadian.

Todd and Shawn from the old short "Sheriff Hayseed" with an entirely new, more anthro look. Sketchy lines, cross hatching, and painterly textures.

A lot of the sediment comes from companies like Sony, for example, remaking things like Last of Us several times in one generation while sitting on old ips that never get as little as a port. 2/2

I mean a big studio has the rights to an original port the fans don't. The best a fan project can do legally is a remake. The original 06 is also just broken so cleaning it up isn't seen as a bad thing. 1/2

I don't really think fan projects count for this. There's a common frustration that AAA and AA studios seem to have a unwillingness to just port games over even when the system they were originally on is no longer in circulation. If it wasn't for emulation some games would just be lost media.
