Yeah honestly I was not expecting for “workers of the world unite” to appear in Star Trek but I was absolutely not at all expecting for it to come out of the mouth of a Ferengi

I think I understand what you are trying to say but Russia conquering the territory that “””belonged””” to them under the Russian Empire is in no way the same as reviving the Soviet Union, and modern Russia is a very different entity than Soviet Russia

Meanwhile in the regular map part it still shows "Lake Ontario" as the name

Considering it was a (relatively) low budget animation movie from Australia by a first time director the attention it's been getting feels so out of proportion

Ghost Animates Stuff @ghostanimatesstuff.bsky.social · 26/08/2026

I don’t think the article was specifically targeting trans people’s criticisms. There’s a general outpouring of hatred against the movie from a whole bunch of people, most are barely engaging with the content of the movie and only a small amount of it seems to be trans people’s criticisms

Ghost Animates Stuff @ghostanimatesstuff.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

Additionally it's genuinely weird that this film gets measured by stricter standards and receives more criticism than multimillion dollar Disney projects

120

Ghost Animates Stuff @ghostanimatesstuff.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

Have you watched the film? Because every description of the scene is framed the same way and everyone uses the exact same words to describe it which feels a bit contrived. Also don't get why this film is getting so much attention when it's a small budget movie by beginner directors

Idk if it’s universal but going into animation with the mindset of “it can’t be that hard” and then discovering that it in fact is that hard sounds like my experience too
