G.H.Moore @ghmoore.bsky.social · 13/09/2026Ope, very good to know—went there once and enjoyed it; will not be returning. Awful 001
G.H.Moore @ghmoore.bsky.social · 13/09/2026Had to get a little gas from not-Costco yesterday evening, and it was (I swear!) $4.39 (!!) at a place on Henn Ave S 011
G.H.Moore @ghmoore.bsky.social · 08/09/2026But what I do wonder (context: from SW MN originally and still social media conn. w/many there) is if more conservatives simply avoid the fair now, post [everything that’s happened since 2020]. Thinking the “fair in Cities=urban=Bad” idea may have played a role. 000
G.H.Moore @ghmoore.bsky.social · 08/09/2026Did see a few ppl today specifically wearing merch w/the new flag, but none on Sat. Endless rebel loon shirts (into hundreds?), lots of general anti MN resistance + prog causes, and one of your own “we keep us safe” shirts! Fewer gen’l conserv./anti-govt shirts than pre-2020– 221
G.H.Moore @ghmoore.bsky.social · 08/09/2026My data points from this Sat (200k day; in fair ~5 hrs) and today (6+ hrs): 1 pro-Trump hat Sat; 1 trump all-over man today. That’s it! Flag? Saw a whole fam wearing Tad Jude old flag merch (but right by booth); in tot maybe ~10-15 others w/old flag or similarly coded merch b/t both days. 100
G.H.Moore @ghmoore.bsky.social · 07/09/2026@geoffgreen.org possibly!😆 Truly though, living near the Hennepin Ave S off-street bikeway he toured during this video is just amazing. Night and day difference from how the street was before! 020
G.H.Moore @ghmoore.bsky.social · 02/09/2026Having lived on 8th St SE not long (iirc) after the original bike lanes went in, it’s so good to hear improvements are coming! Was great to have anything but a prime potential dooring lane. (Same for 9th and 10th, so good news all around) 010
G.H.Moore @ghmoore.bsky.social · 30/08/2026Wholesome: I was operating at the Como-Harriet line today; later in the shift a group of TRIP agents was waiting to board the E Line at the Richfield Rd/Bde Maka Ska station (NB) and they all waved at the streetcar and everyone waved at them! ❤️ I gave them a few dings on the way back! 030
G.H.Moore @ghmoore.bsky.social · 30/08/2026Sadly MT is again in a situation where it doesn’t have enough operators; it was a bit of a challenge to even do the blue line bus bridge properly. Hiring is ramping back up though! But it is correct that there are not the same # of MT-run P&Rs as there were in 2018 or 2019. 030
G.H.Moore @ghmoore.bsky.social · 25/08/2026Was gonna say, same here from a section 224 person lol. Had not the slightest idea 010
G.H.Moore @ghmoore.bsky.social · 09/08/2026Yes! And wow, E. Hennepin and intersecting streets was and are a nightmare for bikers and walkers. Terrifying. 000
G.H.Moore @ghmoore.bsky.social · 09/08/2026The only “terrifying” part about this was being on the E Line as the group was going down Hennepin and witnessing a scooter rider falling and almost getting hit by a car, and several others bumping off cars, hearing numerous thunks off the side of the bus, etc. poor bus operator but he stayed calm! 010
G.H.Moore @ghmoore.bsky.social · 20/07/2026You betcha! See my other response (now poorly threaded) for the Aaron Collins mask nerd video where he mentions BreatheTeq! 010
G.H.Moore @ghmoore.bsky.social · 20/07/2026Yes, here we go! He recommended BreathTeq back in 2023 and they haven't changed in quality since then; see 14:25 of this video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=s3-H...youtube.comTop Mask Pick of 2023, and picks for larger heads.YouTube video by Aaron Collins 070
G.H.Moore @ghmoore.bsky.social · 20/07/2026elsewhere indicated they are up to KN95 standards, and just utilize a better meltblown fabric method for making the masks. Not an expert but as I said I've tried a lot of different masks from many companies. FWIW, this is the test results on their own website: tinyurl.com/32a5rrzktinyurl.com 240
G.H.Moore @ghmoore.bsky.social · 20/07/2026In my experience, yes! Anecdotally, I've never gotten anything while wearing them, and this past week filtered out all smoke smell when I had to be out. I believe that nice YouTube mask-testing science dude who is based in MN tested them and approved! & everything I ever found on their website & 120
G.H.Moore @ghmoore.bsky.social · 20/07/2026(and meant to say, I also wear Auras, & both Auras and BreatheTeqs fit my face very well! But as pointed out, BreatheTeq has several sizes and I think a sizing tester pack (?) so you can figure out what works for you. I like it better than "adjustable" masks; harder to get a good seal on those imo. 010
G.H.Moore @ghmoore.bsky.social · 20/07/2026I'll 2nd that! I love breatheteq.com masks, and I have found them to be the most comfortable for my higher nosebridge AND breathable KN95 by far (and I've tried a lot of masks). And they're a Canadian company! G.H.Moore @ghmoore.bsky.social · 17/07/2026They’re displaying the old MN flag instead (genuinely, it looks like this is somewhat the case) 040
G.H.Moore @ghmoore.bsky.social · 17/07/2026Something like that equivalent is what I was thinking (though admittedly it still requires positive thinking on my part to believe there are that many street-level businesses on Nicollet Mall today😆) Really shocking. 010
G.H.Moore @ghmoore.bsky.social · 17/07/2026Looking at the graphic, I swear there were more street-level businesses on the block City Center destroyed alone than in a very large swath of downtown Minneapolis today😭 120
G.H.Moore @ghmoore.bsky.social · 01/07/2026If this isn’t enough evidence for Minnesota to (at least) keep doing the bare minimum and never legalize sports betting, I don’t know what is. So many lives ruined in this country due to the massive expansion of gambling in the past several years. 040
G.H.Moore @ghmoore.bsky.social · 23/06/2026Once upon a time, decades ago now, the Methodist church I grew up in had an earlyish email address. That address? meth@rconnect.com! Yeeeeahh, no fooling. They did get some interesting emails before finally changing it… 020
G.H.Moore @ghmoore.bsky.social · 23/06/2026Oh how fun to encounter someone on Bluesky who has gone!! I have so much fun myself doing it—glad your son had fun too! (Wish I had time to operate last weekend!) of course! It’s really a great time. 010
G.H.Moore @ghmoore.bsky.social · 21/06/2026The 1st person i met who called herself a zillennial said she & her friends would joke “ladies, if he remembers 9/11, he’s too old for you” partly as a dividing line between millennial/zillennial. kinda makes sense?! Bc I’m one of the younger millennials and I do remember, but was only in 1st grade 110
G.H.Moore @ghmoore.bsky.social · 21/06/2026I am interested if that resonates with you at all! I know some people who very much identify as zillennials, but this is uncommon, i think. But they very much feel like neither millennials (i am on the younger end of millennial but very much feel like one) or gen z, which, ok, more power to ‘em! 110
G.H.Moore @ghmoore.bsky.social · 21/06/2026You bet!! I’m a volunteer operator at the Minnesota Streetcar Museum’s Como-Harriet Streetcar Line in Minneapolis so if you’re ever there, maybe I’ll happen to be operating! 120
G.H.Moore @ghmoore.bsky.social · 20/06/2026Well, I maybe shouldn’t have even said “likely” outcome, but above was 1 poss. outcome given what we saw of legacy lines that managed to limp into the 60s + 70s in other cities. Though it is also true those cities had streetcars in combo w “harder to tear up” transit like subways, more density, etc. 020
G.H.Moore @ghmoore.bsky.social · 20/06/2026And possibly a couple others, though keeping anything would’ve been hard given the myriad factors crushing public transit nationwide at the time! But I do enjoy imagining an alternate history where some lines survived & became like modern LRT or even subway-ized after getting Johnson-era transit $ 120
G.H.Moore @ghmoore.bsky.social · 20/06/2026The Como-Harriet stands out since it was so critical and also had private ROW in SW Mpls & beyond (though outer part already abandoned prior to late 40s), the ‘Interurban,’ aka the Univ Ave line & what the Green Line mostly replicated, the Selby-Lake (had streetcar tunnel; super high riders) 2/3 120
G.H.Moore @ghmoore.bsky.social · 20/06/2026Not to my knowledge, but one likely outcome (sans the hostile takeover and mob stuff) would have been Boston/Philly/San Fran-esque, wherein the highest value, highest-ridership lines, along w/those having private right of way, could’ve held on and eventually been modernized. What lines? Well, 1/3 230
G.H.Moore @ghmoore.bsky.social · 20/06/2026The Minnesota Lynx are SO fun and I love them, THE END! Lol, truly though it’s once again a pure and unadulterated joy to experience their games—yes, even when it’s a bit stressful! #GOLYNX 070
G.H.Moore @ghmoore.bsky.social · 14/06/2026I imagine the end of this video—with the subtle zooming out—as part of the ending credits for a documentary on Mamdani’s New York😄 020
G.H.Moore @ghmoore.bsky.social · 14/06/2026Congrats to the amazing KAT! (And, begrudgingly, the Knicks!) Anyway, his cousin cut my hair in North Carolina a couple times and she talked about how much he genuinely loved living in MN and showed her around when she visited! All-around great person and he deserves every bit of this. 030
G.H.Moore @ghmoore.bsky.social · 11/06/2026Minneapolis needs to do this so badly! Mpls 2040 plan + implementation did not do nearly enough to actually (zoning-wise) allow more small apartment/townhouse/etc buildings! And yes, St. Paul is currently the metro leader on this😄💚 010
G.H.Moore @ghmoore.bsky.social · 06/06/2026#6!!😏😜 jk, but I mean, did we lose to the liberty? Yes. Will it always feel like that title was stolen? Also yes, to me😭 030

G.H.Moore @ghmoore.bsky.social · 06/06/2026Ahaaa…veryyy interesting. Good to know and thanks. I could totally see it! She does seem to be a lot more controlled (holistically, as a person) than Curl, so makes sense I’d heard nothing. Sad, and puts her in the company of so many hockey players😭 120
G.H.Moore @ghmoore.bsky.social · 06/06/2026Thank you lol! Now just hoping for them two have 1-2 meh seasons so Klee gets out; I still can’t believe what he did with pushing/forcing Natalie Darwitz out and also his general leadership choices/style 120
G.H.Moore @ghmoore.bsky.social · 06/06/2026Oh wait what did she do/support/say? I know a few players were questionable but hadn’t heard anything about her 110
G.H.Moore @ghmoore.bsky.social · 05/06/2026Haha I know right! Was worried for awhile I was bad luck 😬lol but it turned out!! Grateful for the experience & definitely hope to be back as it was so much fun😍 I became a real fan kinda in the early covidy-times, and then an avid fan when living out of state for 3 yrs but am back in MN now! 010
G.H.Moore @ghmoore.bsky.social · 05/06/2026Cannot believe how lucky I was for that to be my first-ever Lynx game!!💚One of the most beautifully-played games of basketball I’ve witnessed in person from Olivia Miles, and an overall exciting and intense contest! Love the Lynx! 4171

G.H.Moore @ghmoore.bsky.social · 21/05/2026There seems to be (not saying you, but MN folks who've taken it & want better!) an idea that it is on Amtrak to "give us" better rolling stock, when unfortunately it's the other way around due to the "state supported" service model! Looks like some Horizons may come back, but likely not til '27. 010
G.H.Moore @ghmoore.bsky.social · 21/05/2026Wish MN had taken action in '23 to get an order going! Alas, iirc, there were maybe $$ tied up with the funding for the NLX and its rolling stock for a larger coach order (and now they raided that $). MN wasn't part of prev. midwest consortium orders so we're stuck until we do something ourselves! 110
G.H.Moore @ghmoore.bsky.social · 21/05/2026This is the same reason I have bright lights and reflective stuff when riding at night.
