PUSSYCATS (1974) After several highly regarded albums #HarryNilsson partnered with booze buddy #JohnLennon for a change of direction, damaging his vocal cords in the process. Despite receiving harsh reviews at the time, it's not the train wreck some would have you believe. #MusicSky 🎵🐈‍⬛

KLAATU (1976) In the mid 70s, some believed that this was a secret #Beatles reunion album, such was the similarity to the ABBEY ROAD era sound. Exposed as 3 Canadians, they still pulled off some remarkable Beatle-esque tracks vocally & musically. You can't blame people for being fooled 🌞🐀🦋#MusicSky🎵

IMAGINE (2022) In response to the situation in Ukraine, #JulianLennon recorded this poignant, stripped back version of #JohnLennon 's classic. Crisp acoustic guitar backing from Nuno Bettencourt. Simple and strong. It may indeed be one of the best cover versions and one of the least heard #MusicSky🎵

TO THE GOOD OLD DAYS (2020) Dennis DeYoung, the co-founder & former frontman of rock band Styx wrote this with #JulianLennon in mind, who released it as a standalone single. An unashamedly nostalgic song with an anthem-like vibe and sing-along chorus. Different but suits Lennon quite well #MusicSky🎵

THIS ONE (1989) This 12-inch single from #PaulMcCartney is really an EP that includes 3 non-album tracks from THE FLOWERS IN THE DIRT & CHOBA B CCCP sessions. Decent tracks but no lost gems. The bluesy I WANNA CRY the highlight. McCartney had a hand in that rather unusual cover design too #MusicSky🎵

The Artwork for "This One" The cover illustration for the 1989 "This One" 12-inch single features a highly spiritual, tranquil painting. The Vision: McCartney stated that the lyrics "this one" morphing into "this swan" inspired the imagery. The Style: The painting is reminiscent of Hare Krishna posters McCartney encountered during his time in India. It depicts a little blue god (Krishna) riding a swan over a clear pond filled with pink lilies. The Collaboration: While McCartney provided the cover illustration under his pseudonym (Sri Muk Fej) the release also featured prominent photography by acclaimed jazz photographer Herman Leonard.

SEASON OF GLASS (1981) #YokoOno 's first solo album after #JohnLennon 's murder shocks you with that unsettling cover. The album itself can be a hard listen. Yoko is working through her pain, grief & memories here in a raw, heartfelt manner. You have to be in the mood but it's a fine work #MusicSky

ULYSSES (1954) Kirk Douglas version of THE ODYSSEY may lack the narrative depth and complexity of Nolan's epic, but it's surprisingly serious and not at all cheesy. It could even be argued that its stylish set pieces have a visual flair lacking in the 2026 version. Worth seeking out #TheOdyssey 🎬
