Saw a post on Reddit recently which reminded me of the bananas decor choices of a former employer of mine for the board room (which was also the place where all important clients would go to discuss important client things).

A collage of 4 images of varying tackiness or rudeness.

Image 1 (top left) is a joker (as played by Joaquin Phoenix) type clown person; garish; something an edgelord would love. For context, the man responsible for the decor said Andrew tate was aspirational.

Image 2 (top right) is a dreamcatcher that your mum would share on Facebook - least offensive of the 4 images, but worth including.

Image 3 (bottom left) is some manner of white impact font on a black background saying 'get shit done'. Much work was required to get this riveting image relegated to the general office area (through which all clients would walk) rather than the boardroom.

Image 4 (bottom right) is a gray-scale closeup image of the lower half of a woman's face, covered in the lip/right cheek area with a semi-viscous radioactive green substance. The woman is gently touching her own face and the liquid is smearing on her fingers. Coupled with the unabashed sexism often illustrated by the man responsible for decor, this is the most disturbing image.

@lwflouisa.bsky.social just wanted to drop you a message to note that Bela Lugosi was ethnically Hungarian, but born in Lugoj county, in present day Romania. He was not Italian, and it doesn't look like he spoke Romanian, however he would have been familiar with it because of where he grew up.

So am I! Romanian, came for Uni - stayed. Been working and paying taxes since 2014. I've supported my British friends&fam through mental health/financial crises, support local businesses and charities and am happy to pay more tax to help raise folks out of poverty. Positively treasonous, innit.
