Healthcare professionals should not use the term "clean" when discussing people's sexual & or drug use status.Twice in the last month have heard nurses use this term and both times I wanted to smack the word out of their mouths. Instead they had a "Learning with Gary" moment. Retractions were swift.

Was asked to do a talk at work so decided to do one on Therese Frare and Rosalind Fox Solomon's photographic work on HIV & AIDS in the late 80's/early 90's. When I did the first walk through it surprised me because it almost made me cry. It was a pleasure to do and was incredibly well received.
