mariner is also losing at whatever the fuck this is

and that he will be going in search of Ephris in order to learn how to work with souls. Lilith teases him again that she’d be happy to let him play the role of Maiden again any time. The Mariner runs away from the conversation.

they took my joi de vivre last session

Mariner Guidelines
Always strive to keep the balance even. The Mariner’s role is to hold the boundary line between what the world will take from the people and what the people will take from the world. (He is of the opinion that usually it is people taking more than their fair share and that they remove themselves from the truth of the world. It’s joy and its ferocity both. This is not always the case and he will intervene if the world will take too much from a person or a population.)

Hold onto what he has left with both fists.
The world will try and take from you, and to be mighty is to hold onto what you can. True strength is keeping that which you love. If you would love something, you must be strong enough to keep it.

The world is full of small joy. This too is profound and must be held onto. People too often forget the beauty of the first dew of morning or the last rays of the setting sun. Stepping too far off of solid earth and your own two feet is the creation of most of the evil in the world. He’d just as soon see most nobles drown as look at them.

darling Nev comes outta one of my favourite lancer campaigns to date. she was the fabled combo of a nepo baby AND someone who had brains. her pops was high up in R&D for Harrison Armory had an attack of morals and fled her R&D job that her dad set her up with, taking her NHP buddy in the process!

incrediby torn as always between the very real desire to celebrate the regular people who step up and out against oppression and fascism and the fear of retribution against those people who become symbols of that defiance. think carefully who you take pictures of. may edward crawford rest in peace

the iconic inage of the late edward crawford in an american flag shirt, holding a bag of chips in one hand and a live tear gas in the other, midway through the motion to throw it back at the cops who threw it at him
