I can 100% relate. my dad resented that I wasnt a jock or the cool kid. He'd berate me for acting like a kid... because I was. Thought it reflected badly on him. Always cared more about what people thought of him because of me. The neighbors just thought I was a kid. They thought he was a dick. lol

My dad called me weird. Because I was 8 yrs old still playing pretend... instead of having a full-time job, working 40 hrs, with 2 kids & a mortgage... He hated having a "weird" kid & would yell at me to "be normal." It took me a very long time to learn Weird is Wonderful. Now, I lean into it. 🫠🙃💚

Henderson, North Carolina was beautiful. Ive never seen the Appalachian Mountains before. the air FELT clean. it was wonderful. Also Hot Dog World makes PERFECT burgers. holy hell. I was in heaven.

RIGHT?!?! Our friend just returned from Tokyo where he attended a baseball game and said the energy level is INSANE. people arent just sitting around, they're cheering almost constantly and the players are showing off because they're having fun. sounds like they share the banana baseball ethos.
