I think the way the main character interacts with masculinity and relationships is something a lot of furry guys coincidentally also may relate to, A sense of feeling inhuman, separate from others, and expressing love through unique ways. Could just be both are autism-coded, though.

as i played a few hours of Townfall last night and i am enjoying it. Alien Isolation meets Silent Hill meets 2020’s global anxiety. I am glad to see the franchise finally understand the mechanics and specific location of the surreal nightmare world do not matter as much as telling a good story

I have always chaffed against the habit of putting personal details in social media bios. Sometimes I worry it is a privledge issue—I fit a lot of default assumptions. Sometimes, I worry that it is because i am not brave enough to proudly exist as a complex intersectional identity.

Big Walk is interesting as far as the friend slip genre goes. The limiting of communication tools and the challenges designed to mimic real life hiking trips (such as limited daylight and the severe isolation you suddenly feel when physically distant from your partners, etc) has me weirdlynostalgic?

For HIPPA reasons, I was told to turn off the message preview display for my notifications. So I feel like I just get walls of blank notifications, and like 1/20 of them may end up being important. Idk what to do.

Part of the issue is that i get a notification for every single comment/post, even if it’s unrelated to the work i’m doing. I’ve already muted the main group chat we use because it was mostly just memes and jokes and I wanted to minimize the notifications to the really important stuff

idk a lot of queer/gender fiction is about creating settings where our real-world stereotypes and prednisone’s don’t exist. I think this is good and fun, but I also think that it removes the agency of the character to choose when to play their role and when not to… if that makes sense?
