The Dromcollogher Cinema Fire (Sept 5,1926) remains Ireland’s worst cinema fire.Today, a public library stands on the site of the disaster,serving as a memorial to the 48 people who lost their lives. Their names are inscribed on the base of a cross in the nearby graveyard. www.nli.ie/news-stories...

With only a handful of games left before Dalymount Park's demolition and redevelopment I'll be leading a final set of free tours around the famous old ground, this Sunday, September 6th, at 11am and again at 2pm. Arrive on time in Dalymount Lane in front of the Jodi stand at either 11am or 2pm.

For many years the FAI Cup final was a St. Patrick's Day affair - Bohs won their first FAI Cup on March 17th 1928 defeating Drumcondra 2-1. The match was officiated by John Langenus who would take charge of the first World Cup final in 1930. abohemiansportinglife.com/2021/11/27/t...

A 120-page filing has been submitted to the ICC accusing FIFA's President Infantino and UEFA's President Ceferin of "aiding and abetting war crimes (specifically, the transfer of civilian population into [Palestine] occupied territories) and crimes against humanity (specifically, apartheid)."
Complaint accusing the Presidents of FIFA and UEFA of aiding in war crimes and crimes against humanity in the occupied Palestinian territory has been filed with the Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court. 

FIFA President Infantino and UEFA President Čeferin have been accused of aiding and abetting war crimes (specifically, the transfer of civilian population into occupied territories) and crimes against humanity (specifically, apartheid) under the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court (ICC). The Communication was formally filed with the ICC Office of the Prosecutor on 16 February 2026.
