Ok, I'm taking an executive decision. Despite having assurances that the OBS thing won't affect me (due to slime2 being coded to be safe, and me directly getting an answer from twitch support that any channel point redeem chat message gets sent as plain text), if I stream, I'll just keep worrying.

Ok, so I now know the chat overlay on OBS I use is safe. I also use browser sources for alerts, but they are all standard twitch ones. Not sure what to do though. First I said I would stream today, then said I wouldn't. Part of me wants to stream but part of me is still anxious.

since people have been asking me about this all of the widgets I've made for Slime2 desktop simply insert user input (such as chat messages) as plain text. it does not allow those chat messages to create HTML, uses textContent to insert them instead of the dangerous innerHTML

Well, with the OBS browser source exploit out there, I am not going to stream until it's fixed. I think they fixed it in the latest beta, but I don't know when that's going to be pushed out to the stable releases. Hopefully that'll be sooner rather than later As you can guess, I'm not super happy

Today's just going wrong for me in multiple ways. lost track of time and got lunch late, steam store messed up for a bit, then twitch went weird (and it just was a very quiet stream in general, though I still appreciate everyone who turned up, even if it was just for 30 mins or so.)

And now I find out that my slime2 chat overlay is broken because the legacy API it was running from is down. I could still stream today but to be honest, with both the hand pain thing and this, it's probably a sign I should wait for next week before streaming. It's frustrating, but it is how it is.

Mild dilemma. I want to stream but I strained my hand on Friday evening. I can do some stuff with it, like typing. But flexing the thumb or fingers a certain way hurts (like touching the side button on my phone). Both games I'm playing on stream involve a dual-stick controller.

I don't often talk about sport here, let alone football, but one thing that bugs me about that specific sport is the general tendency to switch out their manager whenever something goes wrong. I have yet to see another sport do this to that same extent, and it completely boggles my mind.
