Tinnitus Calmer is a great app for this. You can customize the sounds. For example: a forest with a campfire and rain, and add pink noise in the background. As is Insight Timer for meditation, and you can add pink noise in the background as well.

Alcohol and drugs had always dominated concerts for me. We would start early in the day and go all night. Concerts sober are such a better experience. Mostly because I actually remember the shows instead of them being a blurred haze of noise.

I did a whole chapter in my book about fault and responsibility as it pertains to forgiveness. I forgive what is not their fault, but do not have to forgive if there is no acceptance of fault, nor change in behaviour. I can live with that and no contact.

Oh, they are absolutely victims. Typically due to how they were treated as children. I can forgive my mother for what was not her fault: her own abusive childhood. However, I will not forgive her for the abusive behaviour towards me and my sister, because she won't take responsibility for it.

...sputter, become angry or rageful. They will even try to turn the lies towards you, saying hurtful, untrue things about your behaviour. Recognize that confronting someone with NPD with their lies will not go as you expect, even with facts. Denial, deflection, and anger is all you'll get.

The #narcissist 's lies. To maintain their false self-image, someone with #NPD will lie often to maintain that image. It's not pathological, it's with intent and forethought. When they fear exposure, the lies will become more blatant and obvious, even when confronted with evidence to the contrary

I was a surveyor assistant when I helped upgrade this section of highway 30 years ago. It runs through a long stretch of quagmire. Not surprising. The melting permafrost is devastating highways throughout the Yukon. Massive frost heaves and flooding happens alot more.
