Of course the North Carolina company whose CEO had an affair with and married his CFO after divorcing his wife describes itself as a faith-driven company striving “to honor God…”
But that marriage began to crumble in September 2023, when Todd Gaines accidentally sent his wife a text message intended for Susan Cribbs while the couple were on a beach vacation.

“Susan, are you alone? ❤️❤️,” the text message read, according to the complaint.

Jan Poole replied, “This is your wife, why are you sending her hearts?”

When Poole attempted to get answers from her then-husband, he would only cry and deny the affair, her lawsuit alleges.

About two weeks later, it states, Todd Gaines accidentally called Poole while he was at work, and she overheard him telling Cribbs he loved her.

The incident rocked the Gaineses’ 10-year marriage, according to the lawsuit. The couple married in 2013, and Poole helped raise Gaines’ three children from a previous relationship, her suit states. During that time, she also helped run Gaines Oil Co., also known as GOC.

The company, which has been in Todd Gaines’ family for three generations, has been named by the Triangle Business Journal as a “Fast 50 Awards” recipient. It handles fuel deliveries and quality management locally and nationally, according to its website, which describes GOC as a faith-driven company striving “to honor God through the quality of our work and the care we show to our customers and community.”

I set up an email just for political donations, have all that email filtered into one folder, and never look at it. I have it empty itself once emails are 60 days old and the folder has > 5,000 unread emails.

meanwhile, on a separate, we’ve got one of those very annoying petitions that seek “direct responses” to important policy questions, including “What evidence is there to support these positions?” (because changing the status quo needs copious documentation) chapelboro.com/town-square/...
As no information produced by the staff addresses this major policy change, we ask you, the policy makers, to answer a few straightforward questions. These questions are not “technical” in any way. We are seeking answers from the policy makers, not the staff charged with implementing them. The Mayor made clear in her email to me of 6/18/26 that ,“Council provides policy direction, and staff carry out that direction.” No staff member would have included a modification to our LUMO with such immediate and far reaching implications without specific policy direction from the Town Council (TC) to so. The TC would not have formulated this policy without having considered the information necessary to justify it.

We are seeking direct responses to following questions from the folks who formulated this policy change as well as the facts and information they considered

1- What were the problems with the existing limit of four unrelated persons residing in a dwelling unit (“4 person cap”) that warranted their proposed modification?

People are what they appear to be. Beyond that, unless they can cite specific ACT sequences for their cell or mitochondrial DNA that somehow defy appearances, it's all in their mind.
I've met so many people who look extremely European in every way and tell me they're Jewish. Well, maybe there are a few OG "Jewish ACT" sequences in there somewhere, but clearly not many!
Where is the list of these ACT sequences?

Mildly insane set of window stickers and bumper stickers on this car I saw this evening.
Bumper sticker with a picture of a red pick up truck diagonally in the middle of the road and a woman in the bottom right with a thought bubble with a fish in it and text that reads “Imagine a TRUCK that’ll HIT YOU if you even THINK about FISH”Bumper sticker showing the ColorSource Family that is supposed to be like those stickers on the back of a car that list family members but it has odd drawings and the text under each is:

Spot “Spotty”
Spot Jr “Spotty Jr”
Par “Parlene”
CYC “Wally”
Linear “Linus”

I can’t even begin to describe those drawingsPicture of the back window of a car with a bumper sticker with a logo that looks like the Toyota logo with long ears out the side and instead of saying Toyota it says Toyoda.
