🚨🚨 Nearly 300,000 renters are losing hundreds of £s a year because of our deposit system. Today we handed in our petition to the government, signed by 17k people, demanding change to the way deposits are managed so we can get our money back quicker.

We’ve been hearing for years that the private rented sector has been shrinking, claims which have gone into overdrive since the Renters Rights Act. But the official estimates of the size of the private rented sector shows it continued to grow through to 2025.

DEADLINE: Today is the last day landlords can apply to court using a Section 21 notice.    If they miss today’s deadline to apply, they will need to start again using the new Section 8 grounds under the Renters’ Rights Act.

BREAKING: The Cost of Renting Receipt 1988 was the last time we had rent controls in England. Since then rents have risen by 1,200%. If our groceries had risen at the same rate, a standard ten-item shop would cost nearly £120, more than five times what it costs today.
