[looking at the acrylic stands that the Kiss Players 20th Anniversary Cassettetron Set comes with] It's amazing how much more bearable the KP trio are when they're allowed to actually look their ages.

Terran concepts; everyone besides Powerchord and Feedback (who lack canonical designs as of this post) are OCs. Transparent files here: radix-outpost.tumblr.com/post/8292677... #Transformers #TFOC #Maccadam

Transformers fanart based on an unmade TF concept circa the '80s/very early '90s.

'twas trawling some old, archived #valveplug sites and now I'm left with the question of whether or not hair on G1-era #Transformers was *somewhat* more common in fandom back then, or if it's always been rare/controversial.

I've got some ideas for Dark Hot Rod. (More info here: tfwiki.net/wiki/Dark_Ho... I gave him Black Rodimus's colour palette instead of his canon grayscale.) #Transformers #Maccadam

Transformers fanart. A thighs-up shot of Dark Hot Rod, an obscure canon character; his colour scheme is based on another clone, Black Rodimus.

[tw: blood, corrosion] A scene from late in "Without Question" (www.fanfiction.net/s/4594387/1/...), in which Dirge makes what is possibly his last mistake. (There was no mention of Blurr having scars in this AU, but I feel like he should have them.) #Transformers #Maccadam

Transformers fanart. Blurr chokes out Dirge while Hardhead watches in alarm; per the fic this scene is based on, Blurr's body is corrosive.

Photo I took last month of Wheelie taking advantage of Blurr's height. If I can't get around to drawing day 7 tomorrow, then I guess this'll be my "free day" entry for #BlurrWeek2026. #Transformers #toyphotography

Day 5 of #BlurrWeek2026. I'm sure the Prime/Rescue Bots version of Blurr is fine as a character; his first design still feels a bit "familiar name on a separate character". #Transformers #Maccadam

In a shocking twist, our local Target had the Insecticons in stock. They're currently sitting in Dad's closet as a future work reward (and there's a lot of it to be done in the yard yet). Very glad I didn't cave on a set at the toy show that was marked up.

Got back from the Rocket City Toy Fair about an hour ago. As I suspected, there was a lotta stuff on offer that was out of my budget, but I did pick up two things: Legacy Bulkhead and TF Retro Bumblebee. Since Bee comes with Cliffjumper's rocket launcher, the two immediately traded weapons.

Something I've noticed over on Pixiv is that there don't seem to be many Japanese #Transformers fans still using the JP dub names (ex. Meister, Broadcast, Adams) aside from "Convoy"--and even then, I see a lot of "Optimus". Maybe someone on that side of the pond can elaborate? #トランスフォーマー

#valveplug blather: AU-wise, I've been mentally writing Prowl as emotionally muted to the point where he struggles to express anything but rage. Jazz is the only 'bot who can get anything out of him, usually (but not exclusively) when they're interfacing--and it's still not much.

Something that's stuck with me over the years came from @diamandahagan.bsky.social and co.'s vlog on TF: Dark of the Moon (IIRC), where Diamanda described G1 Optimus as "equal parts King Arthur and Merlin". I've been keeping it in mind for my AU musings.

Thinking about @tjomega.bsky.social talking about triple-changer toys and that Springer's G1 toy is the size it is so that he has enough bulk for two altmodes has led me to this conclusion: Synthoid!Springer should've been at least a little chubby. I don't know if this is a USEFUL conclusion.

as a dyke it's very funny how often the sex scene discourse seems to presume that there used to be halcyon days of sex positivity in film when most of those sex scenes were also bad, not for reasons of gratuitousness or plot irrelevance, but because they were overwhelmingly heteronormative/male gaze

Dug Prowl II out of the basement, cleaned him up, and got some photos with him and MTMTE Prowl (w/Achai Studio head). Plus a bonus Jazz/Prowl shot. Prowl II was another high school thrift find; he's held up pretty well, all things considered. #Transformers #toyphotography

One of the Hot Wheels I picked up today was the purple and green Futurismo. You can't slap an "01" on something with that colour scheme (with black accents, to boot) and tell me it's NOT referencing Unit 01. (something something altmode of Godmaster Yui Ikari.)
