Elevation is one of the things that is commonly missing in cavern maps. This is what I call a "Star Trek" cavern where the floor is perfectly smooth for practical reasons but the walls have interest.

My standard Forest tile can translate easily into a standard cavern tile. Replace trees with stalagmites. Standard passageways will be 60 ft wide but extend many miles. Then just design a few encounter areas that I can quickly build during session. I'll create a wandering monster table. 2/
