The Govt finally did it. The legal guardrails are gone. We are heading back to a bygone era of smokestacks pumping toxins into our air & pollution pipes contaminating our water. They've written these laws with and for the polluters & the pillagers. And we are going to be the ones who pay for it.

A cartoon titled 'The Regulatory Standards Bill Payment Plan' shows David Seymour standing next to five men in suits holding a large cheque from the NZ Government for "millions of taxpayer money" with the words "sorry for making you adhere to environmental and cultural protections", signed David Seymour. The men have badges that say Talley's BP and Fonterra. one has a sack of coal at his feet. Seymour is saying: I am proud to finally offer these big corporations a formal apology. For too long, they have felt harsh treatment and lost profits by being forced to adhere to 'environmental protections'. Hopefully, this gesture of tax-payer money will be the first of many to help make things right."
