3 A lot of planning goes into painting the figures; the types of paint to use, the sequence of which parts to paint first, which areas need to be masked — these all need to be considered.

Getting some pressure pots helped a lot, as the resin casts always come out looking near-flawless. The pot shown in this post is our mini pressure pot. 🫖 Please turn on the Sound, for some interesting noises during the Demolding stage. 🔉 3/4

The Making of GemuGal - Step 06: Cast Away To make more GoGos and Eights, we made Silicone Molds of their Master Parts. We poured epoxy resin in these silicone molds to replicate the figure parts.

The Making of GemuGal - Step 05: To Mold & To Hold We needed a way to make multiple copies of GoGo and Eight. Enter: Silicone Molding! We did a lot of research on this topic and eventually applied the info we gathered on test molds. After a bunch of trial and error, we did get the hang of it. 1/3

Through repeated sanding, gap-filling, and priming, we achieved a final result that we were happy with. 🥳 We took our time to make sure that each part was completely polished and fitted, when dry-assembled into our Polished Master prototype.
