Total Recall was my favourite movie when I was three years old lol. But there were a few scenes I couldn’t watch. His eyes popping out, the extraction via nose, the creepy belly dude and the fake head.

I spent most of the day doing a deep clean on the kitchen. It’s never “that bad” until you actually start lol. To put the spices and seasonings away I had to reorganise the spice cupboard for example. Oldest thing I found was best before Aug 2016. Wild, bc I’ve definitely deep cleaned since then!

I wasn’t feeling right this week, so I made a GP appointment and it seems I now have a secondary chest infection. The Covid created bacteria which got into my lungs. Amazing. 🥲 I have antibiotics and been told to get plenty of bed rest. Had to cancel my plans again. ☹️

I got Onimusha, Dawnwalker and Mortal Shell 2 sitting there and me and Dave decided to move on to Watch Dogs 2 as we finished the first game last week. …we don’t like it as much because the controls are different, but we’ll get used to it!

I finally feel over the Covid. It’s the first time I’ve had it like this. I felt like I’d been hit by a truck earlier this week, with the body aches, fever and nausea. I’m getting some lightheadedness when doing normal things though - like doing dishes or laundry. I hope that passes soon.

I managed to beat two games so far this weekend: Aphelion and Spider-Man 2. Aphelion was pretty good. I felt the pacing was a little off at times, but it wasn’t bad. Now running NG+ on Spider-Man for that 100% clear. I also stopped playing it New Year’s Day 2024, so I get to refresh my memory. 🤣

First time having Covid that everything tastes off. Just had some rice that tastes like it was cooked in stagnant water. The chicken didn’t taste of anything. The onions tasted very sweet, but not bad. Then I brushed my teeth and toothpaste tastes awful - I can feel the mint, but it tastes gross. 😭

We worked in the garden for four hours yesterday and filled up four massive garden sacks. There’s still so much to do, but it felt good making a dent in it. Some dickhead in the block behind our garden broke down a fence to dump some builders waste. So that’s great. My body hurts today.

I had this whole week booked off for Dave’s birthday but he couldn’t as he didn’t have annual leave left. I cancelled it but kept today and I’m so glad I did. I got a lay in, some laundry done, a little tidying and now I’m going to play Baldur’s Gate 3 for an hour or two. Bliss.
