Dr. @gemmaschino.bsky.social, Deputy Head of the Aesthetics & Learning lab/ Research Focus: Gemma’s research explores the interplay between aesthetic experiences, sense-making, & emotions through an embodied cognition lens. She investigates how people engage with art in museums & lab settings alike.
Dr. Gemma Schino: ‘I'm excited about this role because it gives me a great feeling of agency and it allows me to be more involved in the lab’s activities engaging with diverse projects and people beyond my own research. During more junior positions it can feel a lot like you are flying solo, focusing on your own projects, while being in a leadership position helps also in expanding your knowledge and interests.’
