New paper! In this opinion piece, we argue for a broader, more integrative understanding of knowledge that distinguishes between internal knowledge, (within the perceiver) and external knowledge (within the environment). Interactions between these shape aesthetic experiences and new knowledge.

Last month we went to the Congress of the International Association of Empirical Aesthetics in Jena (@iaea-jena2026.bsky.social, @iaea-aesthetics.bsky.social).
