Not excusing her shenanigans, but this administration's corruption is unprecedented and brazen. The WSJ under that Australian asshole has buried most of its scandals, yet now it's run 3 stories on her. She must have pissed off some people in the same corrupt circle.

I think the boundaries are fairly clear. Using AI to alter the appearance of images acquired on any microscope is a non-starter. Using AI to assist with analysis, rendering, or reconstruction, however, is acceptable, provided it is clearly disclosed.

Interesting a lot of comments including by Janelle. Somehow their argument that the framers of Constitution got it right. Guess what the framers invented something that elected Trump and having corporations running the country. I am tired of this USA exceptionalism.

I get the downsides of AI and the problems it may bring to society. But for me, so far it's been nirvana. I can go down rabbit holes in minutes, create interactive material 4 teaching, my work and thinking are sharper, and I'm finally tackling questions I never had time for. It's something wonderful.

I'm flabbergasted by 1st place Miami. This is far from the first place I've lived, but you can't even get decent Chinese food here. It's all expensive restaurants. I guess there's so much money circulating that everyone wants to open a fancy place.

I can see your point. Historians and archeologists can infer because not many written text exists. But in school we were presented with a mono dimensional view. These exhibits actually reopen our eyes. The world was more interconnected not just in the Mediterranean but South East and Centrsl Asia

The reason of not exchanging much with the north is because offered little beyond metals, mainly Atlantic tin. Greek wine and drinking gear reached only Hallstatt elites. Even Herodotus doubted the Tin Islands existed. Exchanges with the Baltic region was mainly through the Etruscans

I can see your argument on the choice of the words but the more we know is that the large expansion of ancient Greek cities from the Black Sea to the pillar of Hercules did really bring the “first” large interactions in the Mediterranean and lands connecting to Asia. Absent obviously Northen Europe

Λίγη ευλάβεια σήμερα στην ιερά πόλη του #Μεσολογγίου μπροστά στον #Βύρωνα και τον #Άστιγγα. A little veneration today in #Mesolongi, a sacred place for Greeks because of the heroic and tragic history of the siege, in 1826. Statues of #Byron and #Hastings in the Garden of the Heroes.
A full-length marble statue of Byron, lifted on a high pedestal, between the British Union Flag and the Greek National Flag, in the Garden of the Heroes at Mesolongi. A marble bust of Frank Abney Hastings, lifted on a high stele, between the British Union Flag and the Greek National Flag, in the Garden of the Heroes at Mesolongi.

How exciting! This is the very place where Alexander the Great and his companions were educated. It would be remarkable if these findings could be tied to that period. Together with Plato's Academy and Aristotle's Lyceum, it would complete a trifecta of ancient Greece's most celebrated schools.

I grew up on a neighboring island, so I know this firsthand, when it comes to "culture," the mayors these islands elect look almost entirely inward, with little appreciation for anything beyond local folklore. Yet these islands have so much more to offer than traditional dances and panigyria.
