No wonder people left and there is still products left to preorder. I understand price might go up when they stop printing certain products but with 30th Celebration sets this high price is just damn ridiculous. 😑

▽ GeistVIRUS ▽ @geistvirus.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

One small store put few Pokémon 30th Celebration sets on preorder few moments ago. Their site was so laggy when people were clearly waiting for preorders to open but the lagginess dissappeared when the products and prices came up: the prices were 3-4 times higher compared to normal price range.

Yup! This wasn't so bad five years ago but now it is getting out of hand: some people have gotten their hands on 30th Celebration sets before release which means scalpers are either stealing right from the factories or some factories are not honouring their contracts and selling stuff to scalpers. 🙃

010

▽ GeistVIRUS ▽ @geistvirus.bsky.social · 31/08/2026

The amount of scalpers and investor bros running around Pokémon products nowadays just makes me want to yeet myself out of this refound old Pokémon card hobby. It's hard to find enjoyment for this simple collecting hobby at the moment. 😓

▽ GeistVIRUS ▽ @geistvirus.bsky.social · 31/08/2026

It's hard to preorder any Pokémon 30th Celebration sets where I live. Either those things are sold out very quickly or the price is ridiculously high. Normally Elite Trainer Box would cost around ~70€ but currently the prices for those are nearly 200€. FOR AN ITEM THAT HAS NOT BEEN PUBLISHED YET!!

Easiest fix would be change his hairstyle completely from short to long one but that would broke the lore and character growth behind his short hairstyle.. And that's something I don't want to do. 🫤

Trying to redesign a small part of an old oc's design. I thought it would be a quick progress but turns out I am really stuck with the redesigning. Most of the test designs on that small part make him look more something else than what he is suppose to be (he should be more beastlike than humanoid).

Another day, another water study/warmup. Experimented a little bit different technique this time and it also works well for me. 🌊 (I also have some Artfight attacks and revenges on the works, but I can't show any wips of those yet, so these water studies have to go for now. 😅)

Started to got those "I need to finish this art piece before time X" -thoughts again which is cue for me stop doing art for today. Already suffered few art burnouts because of those selfmade time limits and I would like to avoid those. Those little art projects aren't in a hurry to get finished. 🙌

Slowly getting ready for my first artfight. Nil's reference sheet is still in wip folder but it doesn't need much to be ready. Might add more characters to my arsenal on later date. I hope to meet new art friends on the battlefield! ✨💪 #artfight #artfight2026 #artfightcard #digitalart #art #canine

Techbros seem to love Tolkien, so here's an analogy to help you understand what genAI is. GenAI is The One Ring. You think your use is justified, b/c you don't have evil in your heart. But it came from evil, it is intended for evil purpose, & anything you do with it will be twisted to that end.

Boromir from THE LORD OF THE RINGS, holding The One Ring. He thought he could use it for good, but everything done with the ring turns to evil. He was one of the mightiest warriors of middle earth, and he could not resist its powers. Others even mightier fell to the ring. Do you think you are stronger than them? The One Ring is generative AI.

this field biologist does a great job highlighting the insidiousness of AI editing these one-click AI edit buttons are incredibly appealing to many photographers, amateurs and professionals alike, and are framed as innocuous this is worth sharing and educating people about

screenshot of a post on facebook from Alex Lamoreaux, depicting two versions of the "same" photograph of a bobcat in front of a pine plantation, one labeled original game cam photo, one labeling AI processed

the markings have been altered on the AI photo, and the head changed and resized

text says:

Oh! A neat goose hybrid posted to ‘What’s this Bird?’ but when you zoom in on the photos the bill details have been too manipulated by AI photo editing to be accurately assessed for which species may be involved.
Scroll on… A cool-looking Red-tailed Hawk that someone is wondering which subspecies it might be - right up my alley! But when you zoom in on the photos literally every feather group has been so heavily manipulated and altered by AI editing that it’s impossible to determine subspecies because the photo is essentially fake now; just a mashup of whatever AI thinks parts of a Red-tail should look like.
Scroll on… WOW! That’s a remarkable trail cam photo of a Bobcat! It almost looks like a painting!… but the head looks oddly small…. hmmmm. After some prodding the original photo is produced and sure enough it had been so heavily altered by AI ‘post processing’ that the photo posted was essentially a digital mock-up with totally different proportions and fur markings. No longer the photo off the trail cam; it may as well have just been ‘created’ by AI from scratch.
This stuff is killing me. My days on social media are becoming very limited. We can’t even trust simple, everyday photos of animals to be real. The wildlife community needs to quit editing with AI, and we need to start calling out photographers that are using it. Our reality is being destroyed all around us.

Ooof, I feel this. 🫂 My art too has big changes in style, like sometimes its very realistic, sometimes its very cartoonish and sometimes it's something in-between. I think you still have certain unique vibes in your style which makes it easy to recognize as your own: eyes, lineart and colors. 🍀✨
