On top of being free, the Monaspace fonts also make clever use of ligatures to minimize letter squishing (aka "texture healing"), and come with Nerd Font symbols.

To freshen up my dev environment, I configured Ghostty with Monaspace Krypton and Monaspace Radon, resulting in the same effect of cursive text highlights for which I bought my beloved Operator Mono font. monaspace.githubnext.com

BYTE Magazine, April 1994. Not long after, I'd start programming in #Perl myself.

Next #SREcon talk is another one of the many AI-related ones at this conference. Todd Underwood, the speaker of "SRE for GenAI and GenAI for SRE?" is from Anthropic. And I have to concede that he's really good at it.
Slide titled "Claude got dumber?"

Arrived a little late for day 2 of #SREcon, but luckily I haven't missed much of the first talk to which I was looking forward: "Lessons learned from building an L4 load balancing service". #SRE

Switching happily from the AI-centric initial talks at #SREcon to more fundamental operations topics. "ACK to the Future" is a great title to start off.

Arrived at #SREcon in Dublin. Perfect location, just a 1h bus ride from home. Looking forward to lots of inspiration!

Working on Fedora Silverblue introduced me to toolbx and distrobox, two great ways to build isolated shell environments in containers. I highly recommend you give them a try: - containertoolbx.org - distrobox.it

Looks like my reputation as a Stoic has now reached even the spam industry. Has "Hi" nowadays replaced the more formal "Salve"?
