I'm looking forward to #LT25UK next week, but I have already spent too long searching the hashtag! So I made a feed: bsky.app/profile/geek...

The moon is looking particularly splendiferous tonight

A full moon behind the branches of some large trees

Which cool earplugs did you get them? I think I'll be needing to do this soon

So many people think that, it's not surprising that politicians wouldn't know better (yet). What I am more worried about is how they will end up defining "creative", without dumping on human things we consider creative

At least they are trying to do a thorough job I suppose?

Never knew that! I primarily use .com and .co.uk which always seems pretty stable

What? How? Aren't renewals fixed (ish)?

UK Parliament Week has been a massive success with my Cubs and Scouts. The Cubs surprised me with their knowledge, and the Scouts decided to fully fund equality efforts... I'm not sure taking £80Billion from the NHS was the right way to do it though 🤣 #ukpw

It's basically Christmas now ⛄🌲

@openvibe.social I probably missed it in app, but can I see account/post labels from bsky in openvibe? It's one of my favourite features here!

That could be true, but then it was true of the other 3 global orgs I have worked in! Unless you have a senior person sponsoring the change, and a new social media site is not going to get sponsored, not yet anyway. Enough traction here (fingers crossed) and that could change!

I know, but in my org (as an example) the website team (who run the CMS) nor the PR team (responsible for social media) would have access to do that. It would need to go through a change management process with internal IT, which is not quick. It is easy to give up on that sort of thing!

I get why, but in lots of big orgs, the Comms teams won't be able to add TXT records to a domain. Getting approval for that would be a slog, and probably deemed not worth it in the short to medium term

A sunny day to head to London for the Learning Technology Awards! Have even got a Tux, for the first time in 20 years

I have stepped away mostly from the other place, but I am still finding interesting tips on using bluesky there... The hilarious thing is people comparing this to 2017 twitter, as if that was an insult 🤣

Thinking about this myself - did you use a tool?

Well this seems nice so far... maybe I can start building up to posting more as time goes on! Today I was hugely proud of my young people - we paraded as part of our scout group for remembrance and they were amazing!
