Walking through a green tree tunnel is a treat at this time of year.
Photo. A narrow country road, wide enough for only 3 walkers / 2 bikes / 1 vehicle, grass growing in the middle of the road. Trees meeting overhead. Yellow bushes in the background. Heavy grey sky visible through the leaves.

Unexpected beauty on an unlovely verge
Photo of a small open blossom with 5 white petals, and bright green leaves, growing in front of a dark green metal street cabinet. Dark fronds in the background.

Oh
Photo of air traffic control room looking out of large windows onto an airport scene with just a handful of aircraft visible. A man sits in an office chair and a woman stands next to him, a bit DEI maybe, but perhaps she’s a visitor.

Reposting this as I didn’t do the alt text 🤦‍♀️
Small section of knitting on needles, the start of a cardigan. The yarn is pale cream Aran and the pattern is a relatively complex Celtic knot with an unusual ‘enclosed cable’ which alternates two cable motifs vertically. There is an apparent fold/kink part way up where the shape cinches in at the waist.

A detail of my first knit for a while. I like the ‘enclosed cable’ at the right-hand side which alternates between two styles. Looks a bit messy as there’s a change in needle size a few inches up to cinch at the waist - it will all fall into place as I go.

My granny could still knit a sock heel and toe at the drop of a hat, into her 80s. When she died she left a bag of scraps of sock and baby wool, and about 10 years ago I made some of it into a heritage scarf. #knit #scarf #stockingstitch
