Gregory Pearson @gdnpearson.bsky.social · 05/09/2026Put me in NJ where I’ve been most of my life (and all of my childhood). What surprises me the most is the degree of overlap: most similar cities 54% match, least similar 43%. I would have expected more skew. 010
Gregory Pearson @gdnpearson.bsky.social · 04/09/2026There are two types of people in the world. Weird and non-weird. Weird stands for “western, educated, industrialized, Rich, and democratic“. They think differently. Weird people think punishments should depend on motivation. No weird people think punishments should depend on outcome. (1/x) 100
Gregory Pearson @gdnpearson.bsky.social · 21/07/2026Well, all I can say is F*ck Rotten Tomatoes. Went to the site as you suggested and got this pop-up. Tell me, are you “asking nicely” if you block your site with a pop-up that can’t be closed? No, you are giving me an ultimatum, however “politely” you pretend to phrase it. F*ck that. 010
Gregory Pearson @gdnpearson.bsky.social · 22/05/2026Consumer sentiment has been in the toilet since Biden was president, but consumers keep spending nonetheless. What consumers say and what they do have diverged. There will be no recession until they stop spending. No signs yet that this is happening; up 0.9% in March. Next release May 28. 000
Gregory Pearson @gdnpearson.bsky.social · 19/04/2026European politicians have their own elections to worry about, and Trump is historically unpopular. His brand is toxic throughout Europe ( and most of the rest of the world). 000
Gregory Pearson @gdnpearson.bsky.social · 30/03/2026Just to remind everyone: this is the post I was responding to. A post criticizing the left for joining the right in critiquing their factional enemies. Thank you for proving my point. 100
Gregory Pearson @gdnpearson.bsky.social · 11/03/2026Biden? Yes. It was a clear cut case of lying. Yet you supported him. It was not the only one. 110
Gregory Pearson @gdnpearson.bsky.social · 24/02/2026And Platner said a salary from the oyster business would NOT affect his disability benefits. 100
Gregory Pearson @gdnpearson.bsky.social · 04/02/2026Could be worse. You could be an assistant US attorney in the Trump Justice department tasked with trying to defend the indefensible. 040
Gregory Pearson @gdnpearson.bsky.social · 04/02/2026Could we at least get them actual uniforms? Nice brown shirts would work. With some sort of distinctive arm patch to identify them as government law enforcement. 000
Gregory Pearson @gdnpearson.bsky.social · 07/12/2025I think the last sentence should be “frozen, defrosted, and toasted.” 121
Gregory Pearson @gdnpearson.bsky.social · 25/11/2025Just got “followed” by this account. One post, 3 reposts, most recent 24 days ago. No replies, media, videos. They have 21.6k followers. Why? 🤷 000
Gregory Pearson @gdnpearson.bsky.social · 29/10/2025Do they now teach headline writers in journalism school “don’t include the actual subject of the piece in the headline: make the reader click to find out as this will increase engagement”? 000
Gregory Pearson @gdnpearson.bsky.social · 25/10/2025I’m sorry, what? There are a lot of definitions of “working class”, “jobs that require college degrees” is not one of them. 100
Gregory Pearson @gdnpearson.bsky.social · 19/10/2025I brought my flag. One of the marchers near me said “we need to take the flag back”. I replied “we’re fighting for America, not against it”. 000
Gregory Pearson @gdnpearson.bsky.social · 11/10/2025Does that mean the retail price has dropped 44%? Nah, didn’t think so. 000
Gregory Pearson @gdnpearson.bsky.social · 26/09/2025This is just evading the question. Clearly you have no answer. “The Democrats can only win by not making a deal, but I have no idea what will happen and how it will end, except ‘badly’”. It’s the underpants gnomes plan. 100
Gregory Pearson @gdnpearson.bsky.social · 20/09/2025My wife just sent me this, from a friend of hers. Now we have loyalty pledges for reporters covering the defense department. Oops, my mistake. Department of War… 060
Gregory Pearson @gdnpearson.bsky.social · 11/09/2025The radical right is trying to make Kirk’s assassination into a Reichstag fire—an excuse to purge the opposition—even though the assassin has not been identified. Could get ugly. 011
Gregory Pearson @gdnpearson.bsky.social · 20/08/2025Like this better. Trump supporter just before the leopard eats his face. 000
Gregory Pearson @gdnpearson.bsky.social · 08/08/2025I keep expecting RFK jr to shed his skin and reveal a giant insect like Edgar in Men In Black. 1584
Gregory Pearson @gdnpearson.bsky.social · 08/08/2025You sure it isn’t people responding to Google Gemini’s burst of insight? 010
Gregory Pearson @gdnpearson.bsky.social · 23/07/2025Does this math add up? How much do raw materials factor into the price of a car? 1164
Gregory Pearson @gdnpearson.bsky.social · 21/07/2025Do you really need to ask? These are workers from Auschwitz on their day off. Just regular people, doing their jobs. The banality of evil. 010
Gregory Pearson @gdnpearson.bsky.social · 07/03/2025I remember when they blew up rocket after rocket and couldn’t stop thinking about the Scottish castle in the swamp in Monty Python and the Holy Grail. 000
Gregory Pearson @gdnpearson.bsky.social · 09/02/2025I think it is possible to score individual articles for accuracy, factual content vs opinion, and left wing/right wing bias, and aggregate the scores into an overall score for the publication. Like this. And although subject to its own limitations it will provide a reasonable estimate. 000
