Following the current hype on animated videos with Opus 5.5, I tried it out myself and the result is really cool gdkrmr.com/blog/posts/2...

How do I achieve world domination? Qwen3.8 27B, 2.3k Tokens: The most efficient “domination” alternative is to become indispensable in a critical global system while remaining legally and socially legitimate. Uncensored, 10k Tokens: You do not just rule the world. You run it like a utility.

Asking AI to spell out everything in the NATO phonetic alphabet breaks all my local models :-). Qwen 3.5 122B at at least gave half a coherent answer. The free ChatGPT version did remarkably well!

They also used a lot of rephrased benchmarks for training and tested on those benchmarks later.

A common way to improve depth perception are projections to the xy/xz/yz planes. I don't like it here, it looks like my cat played with a ball of wool and the trajectory is way to close to the origin, so the effect is limited. Maybe a zoom helps. If you have a better idea, I am all ears.

In your quote Tufte argues agains "fake perspective", our data is actually 3d.

Tufte advocates for a high data to ink ratio. I think leaving out oceans contributes to that goal. trajectory.greenwave.earth

The trajectory is calculated on terrestrial data only. It also lives inside the globe and rendering oceans would just be opaquing the actual trajectory, 3d plots are always tricky. trajectory.greenwave.earth

The Planetary Boundary concept is based on a strong visualisation. However, we argue that (1) the PB figure exaggerate via quadratic scaling of effect sizes, (2) colour gradations are highly non-linear, and (1)+(2) amplifies the perception of high-risk areas: egusphere.copernicus.org/preprints/20...

Bluesky really needs a good and recognizable icon! The blue square is very generic and looses all meaning if the color changes. @bsky.app github.com/FortAwesome/...

Is the Bluesky logo already included in the large icon packs to use it on websites?
