The introduction defines the term in the way we'd recognise from Disney, as imagining anything and then engineering it down to reality. The rest of the pamphlet, however implies a much more wartime connotation: that aluminium supplies are Going To War but you can […] [Original post on social.coop]
Section of the pamphlet featuring an illustration of a man in a suit and a photomontage that includes an electric heater, a lightbulb, and a woman doing her hair. Text reads:
"When you do your 'imagineering' on the products you expect people to buy tomorrow with the War Bonds they're buying today, remember that the high reflectivity of aluminum for light and radiant heat will make your products stand out in the markets. Data and information on this characteristic of aluminum can be supplied promptly on request; the aluminum can be supplied just as soon as the needs of the war job are met."Section of the pamphlet featuring an illustration of a woman surrounded by an aluminium pail, pie dish, and saucepan. Below is a photomontage of aluminium foil cigarette packaging. Text reads:
"Today, of course, aluminium has gone to war. But indulge yourself in some "Imagineering" if the use of a non-toxic metal enters your plans, and don't forget there'll be lots and lots of aluminum available when Hitler and Tojo are licked."

[transphobia] I had almost convinced myself that Róisín Murphy would come around but nope, properly doubling down on the transphobia. Didn't think I'd be mourning twice for this woman's body of work.
Tweet from Róisín Murphy that reads: "It was never real. Terribly sad though. Absolute havoc wreaked on children, families and society." The tweet includes a graph speciously attributed to Harvard's Cooperative Election Survey showing a change in U.S. 18-22 year olds that identify as nonbinary from 3% to 2% from 2021-2024 and a change in people who identify as transgender in the same population from 5.5% to 3.5%.Twitter conversation in response to Róisín's initial tweet. A user writes "I thought the statement you made back in 2024 was the last time you would speak about this topic" to which Róisín repiles, "I was told over and over to 'go and get educated' well I did."

Epiphyte updates:
My epiphyte planter on a round piece of cork bark. One one side is a large orchid hanging off the side, the other has a smaller orchid with pink flowers and a striped bromilead is poking out the top.Just mounted this small orchid in a perfectly shaped little pocket of the cork. It's secured with fishing line now, but once its roots start growing it'll start grabbing on to the bark to hold itself up.My larger orchid has finished flowering, though I'm tentatively hopeful that we could get a second branch. It's growing a new leaf now which is very exciting.Up top, the bromilead has a new pup growing inside the cup of the older plant. I cut away the dying flower stalk but the older plant is still looking pretty healthy.

Reading up on László's contribution to this #RedNetwork #PBP split and it's so disheartening. Like 1. What sort of fictional working class voter are you chasing who wants socialized health care but just not for trans people? and 2. How are you blind to the fact […] [Original post on social.coop]
Quote from László that reads: To organise on commonly-held demands is ‘independent mass action’ which will drag the entirety of society to the left. Revolutionary realpolitik demands this sort of compromise. It does not demand to abandon principles, however. The truth is that there are demands which are of the utmost importance but around which a mass movement cannot be built, for instance trans rights. It is only through deferring trans rights for now until we hold political capital built around other demands that we can wield our future power for this specific minority.

I'm really being a hater these past couple days but like how did Dublin Front Runners decide that this graphic was a good thing to post publically? If anything this will dissuade any women or genderqueer folks from thinking the club could ever be for them.
Membership Update from Dublin Front Runners showing location and demographic trends over the past four years.
Men in the club increased from 256 in 2022 to 426, women from 59 to 74, and non-binary/genderqueer members were 3 in 2023, 4 in 2024, and 2 in 2025.

The graphic also includes 'Trend Highlights' which read:
"📈Growth: Club membership has grown by 59% from 2022 to 2025
🔄Consistency: Women's representation has stayed stable at around 15-19% with 2024-2025 on par so far. With 7 months still to go - this shows our initiatives are working!
🌈Inclusion: Non-binary representation peaked in 2023-2024, which we are looking to increase."

Liberation means liberation for all.
White text on a blue background reading
"Acceptable Gays" have tried to distance themselves from Queers, Transgender and Non-Binary folks since before those words existed. Yet, Acceptable Gays were not spared in the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s or 90s, no matter how subtle, rich or famous they were. They still got their ass beat, still outed and arrested, still lost their jobs and homes, still couldn't marry or serve. Acceptable Gays still died of AIDS in droves.
LGB Gays are not enlightened free-thinkers, no matter what social media says. They're clichéd bootlickers with no sense of history. They believe this split would spare them, but our persecutors are just working their way backward through the LGBTQ+.
Those who hunt us always come for the entire alphabet.

An erasure poem made from an article titled "Lower fertiliser sales effect profits" from the 28 Feb 1970 issue of the Irish Farmers Journal. The poem reads:
the past has
been rather unexciting.

and it is pleasant to see War
as we hold Imperial
shares

now
an enormous figure,

revealing
