I went to the cast and crew screening last night of this extremely impressive anthology movie. Film-making with huge leaps of imagination and craft. Excellent! #ouatis #FilmSuffolk #Suffolk Tickets linktr.ee/ouatis

I remember my father, who'd been at school in Romford during the Blitz, still being annoyed that when they were sent to the shelters during raids (hurrah, no more lessons!) some teachers would use the time to carry on teaching (boo!)

This is a good concept that answers the perennial problem with a short film - what do you do with it once you've made it? This feature length film is actually nine shorts knitted together on a single theme, so it's a proper film experience www.bbc.co.uk/news/article... & tix here linktr.ee/ouatis

I'll be bringing some copies of the book along - I don't have a functioning card-reading doohickey at the minute so will be doing a discount for cash. You can take the boy out of Essex, but not the Essex out of the boy.

My mother as warning about research story. At 90 years old she suddenly told us she was 95. She’d returned from serving as a VAD post/WW2 in Australia. Dockside UK they swopped wartime ID cards for new passports. Bloke misread the 3 on 1923 and put 1928. She said nothing. So beware even passports!

My new book about my heady years producing just a sliver of Steve Wright's amazing 40-year broadcasting career. They were exciting, hilarious and often plain silly times, forging ahead with so many new ideas to pop radio. www.amazon.co.uk/Steve-Wright...
