it drives me up the pissing wall everytime somebody refers to the locust in gears of war as aliens, especially when they say they're a gears fan, or they've even reviewed one of the games. 😮‍💨 /rant over

£570 for a standard PS5 and £790 for a Pro is insanity

Just finished HORSES and it was absolutely fantastic. I bought it on GOG because, unlike Steam & Epic, they actually support video games and creatives. Congrats on the release @santaragione.com. Hopefully this isn't the end.

Thanks to @thespaceshipper.com for putting me onto this Dead Space book from @lostincult.co.uk a while back. It arrived today and it‘s already a fantastic read and quite the looker with some gorgeous art inside.

I actually agree with a Eurogamer review for once. Both Ghost of Yotei and Ghost of Tsushima would be better as linear action games. Tshusima's open world was one of the most boring open worlds I've ever experienced and it's why I won't even be bothering with Yotei.

Oh no, a notoriously difficult game series adding difficulty options to make it easier. The internet won't like that. #XboxTokyoGameShow #NINJAGAIDEN4

Assassin's Creed "fans" need to shut the fuck up. All they did was complain about the modern day stuff all throughout the 360 era and now we might be getting one without it and they're still moaning.

Metal Gear Solid Delta is getting 9s & 10s when it can't stick anything close to 60fps on PS5 & PS5 Pro. It doesn't even stick to 30fps in quality mode. PC version doesn't support ultrawide and has a 60fps lock. Why are we still praising & supporting broken games in 2025? Stop.

I take everything back, Mindseye is a piece of shit 😂

020 2

Gav @gavinuk86.bsky.social · 10/06/2025

Say what you will about Mindseye but the PC version has a decent shader precomp at launch, a full suite of upscaling options (incl DLAA), solid framerate caps (for cutscenes and in-game) and proper frame generation implementation. So as far as UE5 games go, I'm impressed so far.

I'd love to see Hunter Schafer play Zelda in the movie because she seems pretty cool and was awesome in Cuckoo and because it would piss off the incel manbabies so fucking much 😂

Gav @gavinuk86.bsky.social · 05/05/2025

It's only Gears of War 1 so who cares if it's on all platforms. There's a whole trilogy waiting to be remastered not to mention Judgment. What a fail of an announcement.

Gav @gavinuk86.bsky.social · 03/05/2025

MindsEye continues to look awesome to me. I miss these 360 era sci-fi TPS. Sign me up.

Another 12 months until GTA VI? Damn. So who's going to be the first to step up and announce their game is coming September / October now?

Gav @gavinuk86.bsky.social · 24/04/2025

When a game can make you tear up within it's first hour, you know you're in for a wild ride. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is that good.

030 3

Gav @gavinuk86.bsky.social · 23/04/2025

Is @dantrachtenberg.bsky.social setting up a future Aliens vs. Predator movie here with Predator: Badlands? I swear that's the Weyland-Yutani logo on Elle Fanning's eyes and jacket. And she's obviously an android of some sort.

020 2

Gav @gavinuk86.bsky.social · 23/04/2025

You know what? I feel sorry for Sandfall Interactive, the Clair Obscur devs. Microsoft gave them their backing by showing the game off during one of their Xbox showcases then they let Bethesda drop the Oblivion remake days before their launch. That’s fucked up.
