This is a lesson I learned back in 2002, when traveling around England. England had lost 6am game. US played Germany at noon. Got off the train in a small town to find a pub to watch. Friendly locals, who had been there since 5am, helped us cheer by singing “we are the German haters” for full 90.

Every day, all over the country, people get released like this. I volunteered waiting outside a detention center for releases since 2018 and they are all like this. We recently acquired the first automatic transmission car of either my husband or my adult life, and it only took me two months to almost die because I pressed on the brake like it was a clutch. (On the curve at the north end of green lake on Aurora.)

Simultaneously, they mock & degrade women athletes for not being athletic enough, and then when a few of us are that athletic, they say we must not be real women. The end state of this reasoning is a world where “real” women don’t — and then can’t — play sports. Policing gender hurts women athletes.
