Ha ha ha - when I wrote my first book I wrote a vivid description of what different train cabs smelt like. It was one of the most enjoyable bits I ever wrote. Different stocks and locos had unique aromas. Once smelt, never forgotten 🤢

Severe drought restrictions now increased for us by #southernwater & #southeastwater (unless you live in Hastings & Rye) Yet water leaks go unrepaired - like this one in Brede which has been pouring down the hill for months now. The government need to get a grip on these cowboys!

Well it’ll be similar to the pandemic. We have a dairy in the village, bakers, fishmonger, grocer & two pubs. The chip shop might struggle a bit but we can get fish from the river. Our local train is a steam train too. We can connect with neighbouring villages. It’ll be like Passport To Pimlico☺️

Our poor Hylda was already showing the early signs of her dementia by that time. She couldn’t remember lines & if you watch her later shows you can see she’s reading off of cue cards. Bless her heart. I love their version though 🤣🤣🤣

She really was. A complete eccentric she somehow managed to battle through in a male dominated profession to bring her amazing talent for malapropisms & a real understanding of what made people laugh. I absolutely idolise her. And the audience laughter shows how much they loved her too.👏🏼👏🏼
