It's been one of my favourite parts of Necromunda, even just how easy it is to slot new things into it with the action system. The removal of a strict X points versus X points really aid the mindset for house ruling and custom stuff. Really enjoyed the campaigns and content I've made for my club

The two leader/champ/pet kits are built and ready to undercoat when the wind calms down. Swapped out the bases on some of the Golaiths as the ones in the kit are frankly too big for them (the women and the Kroks). Otherwise built as per the instructions. #Necromunda #Warhammer #Nerdlings

The new gang boxes are pretty good little bundles. Especially considering that many parts (mostly head and arms) are interchangeable between all the models to help make you models unique. Got any ideas for colour scheme or build loadouts yet?

Actually ok with the bottling change. It definitely doesn't solve the OG issue, but I'm willing to give it a go. Nothing to do with it helping me win the game or nothing, after my opponent had to remove a fighter who was contesting an objective.

Main takeaway, was that the games slowed down a lot, with the removal of flesh wounds and CDG being less automatic, actually killing fighters takes a lot of effort, as it's now almost entirely dependent on rolling a OOA rather than being able to grind them down with flesh wounds.

Played my first game of the new edition yesterday. Brought my Escher against my friends Helot Cult. Very fun game, and was great to finally get a feel for how the new edition actually plays. Definitely gonna need to play more games with other gangs before settling on an opinion, but generally good.

As good as any. New starter set provides everything you need (BRB, dice, tokens, both card packs etc) Plus the new bundle boxes for several of the gangs make it cheaper to go all in if you want one of the clan gangs.

Am definitely enjoying what I'm reading, just disappointed with the volume of stuff that's been removed/yet to be added. Fear we're gonna get locked into the same cycle that HH has: New edition every few years with half the stuff cut, which is all generally added back in, only to restart the cycle.

There wasn't a scene or any known players before I took the plunge for my local group, now it's the second most played game at my club behind 40k (50+ regular attendees, and 20+ systems played). The new edition, and gang bundles should help with people being interested and being able to start.

Good luck, there's normally a group of people who are interested, but don't know anyone and/or people who picked up a box but didn't get anywhere with it around. The challenge is just being that first person to start it. Doing demo games to peak interest, just small 500-750crd gangs.

These aren't house books, as you'll still need the gangs books. These just add back in all the stuff they cut to make 8+ gangs fit into a single book. Allegedly, the two new books will remain valid, these journals will just add extra stuff rather than directly replace.

Not happy about all the faction specific content (skills, tactics cards etc) being cut and then sold back to us immediately. Would much rather they had stuck with giving the gangs a dedicated full book; then using the journals for new campaigns, random characters and add-ons.

Do it! They're a great gang, with really good cross kit compatibility as the arm and neck joints are the same across all of them. Also here's my Escher gang, as people seem to be sharing theirs in order to trigger FOMO.

Book of ruin for sure. Corpse grinders, chaos helots, Genestealer cult rules, loads of scenarios, NPC monsters, and more in it. Out of the remaining books for you to collect it's definitely the one that will add the most to.your collection.

Oddly, rereading the pages WarCom showed and a pair of them are the Post-cycle actions. Guess post-battle will be literally just the scenario wrap up (income, rewards, roll for capturing fighters, xp etc)

Been doing a lot of building tonight, all characters and terrain for our Inquisimunda campaign. This is a market set, lots of hive scum converted to be unarmed citizens, traders, and various other characters. This should make a vibrant scene for our next encounter!

Lots of built and unpainted models on my hobby desk. There are several market stalls, display crates, racks of guns, and about 20 models milling about. There are gangers, traders, characters, ne'er do wells, and Justicars.

That's interesting. Admittedly my group already does this to an extent. Territory income and benefits can only be claimed on the first game of a cycle. Extra games only give what the scenarios give (normally capped as well). It's a way of allowing folks to play extra without leaving people behind

I'm liking more than I'm not so far. But my main issue is whether the stuff without models gets removed or not, and if weapons/wargear options get more restrictive to match the kits. Still have scars from HH3.0. The rest I can probably work with, but my group are very house/custom rules friendly.
