Banned from following Neil Marshall's new project 'The Art of Action' on instagram because I criticised their use of AI to make slop like this. Apparently it's just for 'shits and giggles'. They're half right, at least.

An AI generated picture of Leonardo Di Caprio wearing an Arsenal fan hat that says 'Gooner for Life'. No, really. That's what it says. And it's utter slop.

The manosphere has been here for decades, long before these get-rich-quick chuds that Louis Theroux interviewed jumped on the bandwagon. The only difference between the manosphere of the past and now is access and the fact they openly target our kids. Wish the Theroux doc explored that angle more.

Rare that a film argues in favour of suicide as the answer to emotional trauma, but Return to Silent Hill takes a good run at it.

In the coming days, weeks, months and years, there will be a number of people who come forward talking about how they were wrong for joining ICE. How they fell in with a bad crowd or they were duped by an ideal. They will want to apologise. Don’t fucking let them. Let them drown in their shame.

Listening to the latest Smersh pod episode and @johnrain.co.uk is talking about 'his pet monster that he keeps in a cage'. The chastity cage community is delighted with this!

Paused this youtube video at the wrong time, while taking calls at work. Makes it look like I was watching the Pain Olympics.

I want to share something a little bright in this hopeless world, but it starts a little sad. Last weekend we lost my forever pup Holly after a short but devastating illness. As a family we are broken, but I found this in my daughter’s bag, given to her by a friend at school and it is so healing.

A child’s hand drawn picture of a miniature schnauzer with the words ‘Holly (name of the dog) + Alannah (my daughter)’ written on it.

A child’s handwritten note that says ‘To Alannah, Just remember Holly loves you and will always be with you. (Love) from Cara’

Cutter's Way is one of my favourite first-time-watches from the past year. John Heard's as the titular tortured soul is the defining of his career. Bridges is great as the moody lead, unsure of the journey he's on every step of the way. And Lisa Eichhorn is particularly heartbreaking as Mo.

TLDR version: 'When I found out Ardal O'Hanlon called me angry and confrontational I immediately called him, as I do anyone who criticises me, and shouted at him for a while.' Love the bit where he literally said to him 'you've made my shit list'

I'm honestly not taking the piss when I say this but Den of Thieves 2: Pantera is comfortably one of my favourite films of the year.

The Kier Starmer 'Lad Lawyer' impressions shift so gradually to Brian Butterfield impressions that I didn't realise it was happening.

The Aftersun mix of Under Pressure just popped up on my youtube music feed and it has left me wanting to revisit the film. But I honestly don't know if I can take being emotionally hollowed-out like that again. I carried that film around with me for weeks after watching it last.

Fan of the Badlands' diet-Dune/ elevated-Riddick/ Conan the Hunter of Trophies take on the Predator. Glad it's getting the recognition it deserves. Also worth acknowledging just how much Prey rescued the reputation of the series and set the stage for Badlands. Tratchenberg really can do it all.

Given the current climate on the stage of world politics, we need this generations Threads, Fail Safe or The Day After. I thought A House of Dynamite could be that, but after a blisteringly paced opening 30mins it's so corny & cowardly in execution that it feels like a complete waste of a good point

I've seen reports explaining that Tron Ares was a bomb because the franchise has zero box office weight, but although Tron Legacy under performed it made over $400m WW and had some staying power at the box office. The decision to rewrite the story away from Legacy and cast Leto is what killed Ares.
