Yesterday I moved my Mastodon account from ed@me.dm to ed_garcez@mastodon.social. It wasn’t hard, but the move doesn’t transfer posts and folk who have protected accounts have to re-approve me. In a mad world, my wish is for super smooth, whole account transfers 🤞

It isn't often that things are *much* easier than I expect them to be. Moving my bsky account from bsky.social to eurosky.social was super easy (and quick!). Whoop whoop!

This is a profoundly useful resource, and almost all of it's applicable to *any* org, not just councils Assume your cyber controls *won't* work, and make sure to check this out so you can be confident that you'll know what to do (And bravo to the LGA for making this open - it makes things better)

Now that summer is over and the kids are back at school, I thought I would kick off a regular online get together for local public service folk (only) to join. Last Thursday of the month, 12pm-1pm on Zoom. Sign up at lnkd.in/eVshDSw5 for free!

Love this! I’ve been thinking about the apps that I use, and how access to my data might be impacted by, um, current affairs. There are credible alternatives…

One of my favourite Christmas tree ‘baubles’. I do love our colourful and eccentric collection that we’ve built over the years with the boys ❤️

The water made it in below the door. Thankfully stopped by our quick thinking neighbour (we were out for lunch). Quite the mop up challenge for a Sunday evening after a boozy lunch…!

Oh! I've seen all of the messages today but had no idea quite how earlier I was to Blue Sky (which now has over 10 million users). I was #9,133!

After failing to get #Oasis tickets this weekend, Tiago and Phoenix spotted Noel in the queue behind them waiting to board BA636 to Athens this morning. Flying commercial.

An ‘over-shoulder’ photo taken in the boarding queue. Behind Phoenix’s shoulder is a man in a blue top: Noel Gallagher.

A ‘zoom’ of the same image, showing Noel’s face.

Ouch!! We're lucky. Our neighbour keeps hens, and we get fresh eggs. Large eggs. This week one of the eggs is _extraordinarily_ large. Huge.

12 eggs in an egg box. They’re fresh eggs from our neighbour and haven’t been cleaned. The egg at the front on the left is huge.

There’s something nice about footy in the summer on a glorious day like today. Out of picture, there’s a BBQ and music in the neighbouring field: I can’t resist a little dad dancing on the side… 😃

Have swum. Need to return to car insurance hell. Keen to watch (and for some rewatch) the Aliens films. Limited family support for that (and limited interest in the insurance). Having a G&T in the garden to help nudge things along…

A little bit of tinkering and I’ve followed a whole load of new peeps (thanks to those who shared lists!) and got the Ivory app (tapbots.com/ivory/) fully setup. If you’re an iOS user: check out Ivory. It works pretty seamlessly with 🦋 (it was designed for 🐘). Hoping to see all the peeps here 😃
