Additionally, I plan on including an android version in the next build so it can be played on mobile!

Galsult @galsult.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

Hello all! Here is my EEHAW progress update: the next build is completely written but I still need to do a good deal of art, music and coding for the final sequence, which is very CG-heavy and involves a lot of content. So it will not be out for another little bit yet!

I think a lot of contemporary critics are afraid of seeming as if they have not considered all possible angles and therefore careless, so there’s this impenetrable layer of base-covering that you have to peel off. But that act of peeling is itself a taxing inconvenience for the reader.

It’s one of those things that never really gets “better”, and nor should it. They remain with you forever.

And then Piranesi right after since it’s so inspired by Borges! It’s a “tricky library/infinitely-recurring-room type vibes” trilogy

There are people out there who don’t know the joy of organizing bookshelves by having each book next to a tangentially related book via means that are either obvious or only make sense to the organizer and for those people I weep

Yes I estimate that 33 people have converted to Catholicism from reading, one for each year of Jesus’ life

I finally read that controversial religious FVN that everyone is upset about

Screenshot from a furry visual novel delicting a wolf with a katana. He is standing and letting the rain wash away the blood staining his clothes and his katana. The narrator says "That day in sunday School when I saw the picture of Jesus the so-called 'messiah' being apierced by the Spear of Longenos."

Jesus's face in the picture... it was...

My awakening.

Just a quick update since it's been a bit! I'm quite a ways into the next build of Ever Our Hearts Aglow. I'm hoping to deliver a multi-course meal of psychic damage within the next month or so.

Listening to fanmade remixes and arrangements of game OSTs is a well of comfort I come back to every once in a while, but I had no idea just how dire the AI situation has become in the remix scene. This is just a taste of what YT is like for Star Fox music now.

I don't have a writing update so soon after the last one, but just wanted to thank everyone for the effusive reaction this last chapter has gotten on Ao3! I was worried about how people would react to this one, but that worry was unfounded. Thanks so much for all the lovely comments!

Honestly? Never. Either they’re thinking about you just as much as you are them and it takes one of you to finally re-bridge that gap - OR they’ve forgotten about you but would be happy to hear from you again regardless.

Galsult @galsult.bsky.social · 07/05/2026

On one hand, it'd be great to have a sequel to this game using the same gameplay so we finally get Star Fox 64 2. On the other hand, having hyper-realistic weird animal proportions Krystal while still wearing her bikini armor is very funny. Hard to say which is better

Galsult @galsult.bsky.social · 07/05/2026

The actual point of Star Fox 2026 is that aviators immediately elevate every character design and make them 70% cooler regardless of context

I think what gets me is that the designs from the Galaxy movie are what I thought the hypothetical next game would look like while the next game looks like what I thought a hypothetical film would look like

Galsult @galsult.bsky.social · 06/05/2026

I’m so conflicted because I find the art direction appealing at the same time as I find it visually AI-core at the same time as it harkens back to the series’ visual roots at the same time as it harkens back to the mid-2010s “what if game but realistic” trend. There’s a lot to unpack aesthetically.

I was writing the next chapter of Worlds of Lylat when it hit me that Leon Powalski is called Leon because he's a chameLEON and I audibly gasped to myself. And then learned that everybody already knew this and that I'm just the slowest on the uptake it is possible for a Star Fox fan to be.
