Perhi’s a min height fem Miqo’te so she’s short. She doesn’t mind it as much anymore, but it did bother her a bit growing up esp when some of her younger sisters passed her in height. (She will be the shortest of her siblings once they’ve all reached adult heights)

Water lapped against the side of the gondola as the pair sailed down the canal surrounded by the faux city of gold formed from false promises and grief. It had been something of a romantic voyage at first, they supposed, but a pit formed in the bottom of their stomach aas G'raha uttered those words.

"Had you this?" B'onggo repeated back to him. "This?" They gestured to their surroundings. "A city filled with the memories of the deceased yet utterly devoid of life at the same time! That would have been enough to satiate you?"

G'raha had thought a time or two of inquiring about claiming it for himself, but the way the Warrior of Light was still demonstrably uneasy around him had been an effective deterrent.

Perhi leans more towards avoiding looking people in the eye. She’ll try and make contact during introductions, but mostly saves direct eye contact for those she’s closest with or when she is making a point—that’s when she goes to unsettlingly intense

B'alith was determined that today was going to be the day he would manage to get out of bed entirely under his own power.

All things considered, he was recovering fantastically well for someone who had died—twice, apparently, according to the chirurgeons' reports—not terribly long ago. His more superficial injuries had been swept away under the force of powerful healing magic that some of the star's best and brightest had poured into him, and he was beginning to have some days where he was awake almost as much as he was asleep. He still couldn't feed or dress himself, let alone attempt something as complex as walking to the bathroom and using it unassisted, but the fact that he was alive and well enough to complain about it was nothing shy of a miracle.

He was growing so very, very tired of miracles.

The elder Miqo'te had claimed a knack for thaumaturgy, a proclamation utterly at odds with B'alith's understanding of the Boar tribe's current Nunh as a man more skilled with his body than his mind. B'jinh Nunh was hardly a fool—he would not hold the position he did if he lacked the necessary acuity with numbers which made him such a shrewd negotiator—but B'alith had a difficult time imagining those heavily-muscled arms and scarred hands performing the more delicate gestures he assumed were required of mages. One way or another, he would find out soon, and he did not want to wait a single moment longer.

When his arm crystallizes, it's agony – like a necrosis creeping down his shoulder, consuming the flesh as it went ilm by agonizing ilm. His flesh feels like it's set aflame, burning as crystal takes its place. The chirurgeons and healers that worry over him ask about it, wonder if there's anything they can do.

The Exarch tells them that he can't feel it, that it's numb all the way down, that the crystal feels as if it's not his own limbs anymore.

It's a lie.

Instead of his nerves going dead when they'd consumed by crystal, they light up, as if every sensation, every feeling is magnified through it. It shouldn't be the case, it makes no biological sense, but then again the Tower's magic defies most odds.

By all accounts he should be dead, but the Tower forces him to keep living, keeps life flowing through his veins even despite his best efforts.

So when he loses complete function in his crystalline arm, joints stiff and frozen in place, he knows what he has to do, but he hesitates. He knows the pain will be excruciating, likely nearly unbearable, but there is no other option. There is no other way for him to continue – he knows this as soon as he is nearly too slow, nearly loses a whole squadron of his people because his reflexes are just slightly too slow.

Somehow, despite how much he tried to prepare himself for it, the Exarch underestimates the pain.
