IMO it's best for implementations to leave out default params

My life too has been nothing but a series of chances 🫂 I still cannot believe it. I'm in awe every time I think about it.

Yea, although it might make more sense to figure recipes based on what the kids want and look forward to for the scheme to have more widespread adoption... We don't want to end up in a place where kids feel less than for taking up free "inclusive" food

In that case it should probably also be gluten-free, nut-free, and contain no milk!

Oh no! I hope the front and the back tires are the same size so you can move the good ones to the same axle and only have to get 2 new ones

Hmmm... I just switched from Opus to gpt5.5 and am loving it. I use copilot if that changes anything!

I might probably regret this later, but I wrote a tool to automatically publish my availability to my website. Here's my blog post about it and how LLMs influenced the way I built it: galdin.dev/posts/the-st...

Anyone else remember the idea that code is a liability, not an asset? Just me?

Silly question, but was it really a corruptible, mortal body given that he was born without original sin?

Just watching John Lennon singing, "Imagine no possessions" as he sits at his white grand piano, in his massive mansion, overlooking his ginormous estate. You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one.

Book bans get headlines, but the bigger threat to books is hiding in plain sight: A handful of companies control how ebooks reach readers, and they can cut off access with a click. New from @mariabustillos.com in @columjournreview.bsky.social ⤵️

Most feeds appear to be made using skyfeed. But it is possible to write (and host) custom bluesky feeds. But from what I can tell, there's no way to know what a feed does internally. It's a bit of a blackbox to feed subscribers.

Galdin Raphael @galdin.dev · 21/08/2025
I assume that feature would have to be implemented by whoever setup the feed! Or are you using one of the bluesky managed feeds?

Your API versioning is wrong, which is why I decided to do it 3 different wrong ways
In the end, I decided the fairest, most balanced way was to piss everyone off equally. Of course I’m talking about API versioning and not since the great “tabs versus spaces” debate have I seen so man...

So here in France we have a 5G-enabled electricity meter called Linky, which naturally here in the land where people who live in heaven think they live in hell there were all kinds of protests — Linky gives you cancer, makes your kids autistic, kills your dog, sets your house on fire, and so on.

@andypavlo.bsky.social on HN sums it up well OLAP vs. OLTP isn't right vs. wrong, they're designed for different things. Have a version of this on a slide when explaining Crunchy Data Warehouse and how it's for very different purposes than stock Postgres.
