I think I like Galadriel because of how she embodies anger

I could have seen Halbrand and Elrond bonding over how headstrong and bulldozer Galadriel is... Like it's almost an exploit of hers in season 1

That's quite true, but i love my girls. I want to see them 🥺

The harfoots are in Season 3 because Tolkien has always made them central to his stories 😌 i trust the trop because they get the larger themes of this work

This shot from the previous episode. Almost identical. Something something symbolism with the halo of light above her and the shaft of light shining directly on her.

Míriel stands under a halo of light with a shaft of light also shining on her from an angle

Little people aka the everyday people who are underestimated, but stand up despite it and who, in the end, are the reason they defeat evil

I dont trust tof honestly lol. Harfoots are central to Tolkien and the "little people" storyline...

More seriously, it looks like intensive planting for future woods. So it's a very generic look with like pine, spruce or others. But it might be the same location since they are filming in the UK 🤔

But then she comes closer to the darkness and out of the light, while at the same time Halbrand does the opposite and comes out of the darkness into the light... The play with the lighting, etc is *chef's kiss* so good. #TROPRewatch

Galadriel more in shadow as she comes closer to the bars

Halbrand surrounded by darkness but under a beam of light

Isn't Oropher coming up in S3? Look at that we will all be wrong and that's Jamie's character 😭

When I have the time and the energy I really want to talk about the connection between Míriel's progressive transformaron in a saintlike figure narratively and the visual clues like this one. I used to think they were coincidences but there're too many and they fit her arc too well (specially in s2)

Witchy Galadriel 💫 Lou @galadriel-witch.bsky.social · 23/10/2025

So, if Gandalf is like a pokemon, how will he levels up next? S1: body S2: magic stick S3: cute grey robes? S4: a HAT pls S5: the famous pipe?

The more I think about it the more I feel they cut scenes of Kemen in S1 or they changed his arc between season...

110

Witchy Galadriel 💫 Lou @galadriel-witch.bsky.social · 18/10/2025

I agree, I guess it's more the tale of the middle that wishes to be neutral but in practice can't, that could have been interesting 🤔 I still don't understand why we didn't get a confrontation between Eärien and Kemen about Valandil murder

110

Witchy Galadriel 💫 Lou @galadriel-witch.bsky.social · 18/10/2025

Ahh I see! I guess I was seeing a third alignment with Eärien that was neither faithful or imperialist, a bit in between and that Kemen would have followed that. The tragedy being even with a middle ground, nothing could save Numenor 😥 but I would have loved that opposite you talk about!
