From ⬆️: Eg: 2021 the Greens didn't receive enough votes to return any constituency MSPs. They got 8 regional MSPs across 7 regions b/c of the proportion of votes they received in these regions. This gave Green voters fairer representation in proportion to their support across Scotland's regions.

Not that I'm aware of. I don't even think they can charge membership/ get ad revenue until they have been going for a certain period of time, or have a certain number of subscribers, although someone might correct me on that. (And this is up to 3 million subscribers now.)

I still think the biggest risk is humans. Humans with [access to] unprecedented knowledge is the AI bit. How many Hollywood supervillians are based on gaining that elusive [programme/ tech/ knowledge/ etc.] AI isn't sentient. It isn't intelligence - we don't understand consciousness (currently) 1/

In skimming some articles, I read he actually took his 'human waste' back to the US from Turkey to prevent possible analysis of his health. Apparently Putin & Kim do this too. This really does seem beyond paranoid.

You say statistically, but is it really? Compared to actual dangerous jobs, surely firefighters (for one example, there are many others) are *statistically* more at risk. But I get your point. A very quick search suggests US politicians are at far greater risk IN the US than internationally.

Do other heads of state do this and we don't hear about it? I have to admit it seems almost paranoid from a non-US perspective. AFAIK, most other heads of state don't have the same, erm, 'needs'. And that's not accounting for the fact this is actually a personal trip.

In his first term, they used Provigil (modafinil), a nootropic/ wakefulness drug. It's for narcolepsy, & can be used off label for some other things, including fatigue & jet lag (/to maintain the ability to function despite jet lag &time zone changes). I'm pretty sure this is in the mix.

In the UK, certain medications are never subject to a charge. Medications are free for diabetics. (Scotland no longer has any prescription charges & charges are minimal compared to US charges, but basically if you need a med to live, there's never a charge.)

Exactly. It's useful to sort through large amounts of information & get summaries by refining (refining, refining, refining) searches & questions. But it's like relying on a calculator to do basic sums with no idea how numbers work - you have no idea if it's right or not. We need to THINK!!

When I was in the US, I had a fantastic doctor who used to say, "there's a reason they call it PRACTISING* medicine". I had many doctors who did not share that viewpoint, but I have a research background & don't believe anyone knows everything- even if they think they do. *UK spelling for the verb
