Watches are amazing little time capsules of the era in which they're made. This one has a serial number that makes its birth date around the great financial crisis. Everything about the design language is intentionally flashy but it's a quartz piece with literally one jewel, the rotor bearing. lol

Spotted this Seiko 7N42-0ch0 at a Cashies being all lonely and nonworking. Gold-tone brick bracelet, 100m depth rating on a watch that will never see water, "COUTURA" printed on the dial for no reason other than that a marketing department needed a nameplate. It's the 2005 Buick Century of watches.

I built a Watchy ESP32 epaper watch today. So far, I'm liking the aluminum case, and the custom faces are really fun. I need to find a MicroUSB cable to connect it with the Arduino IDE and change the location for temperature and weather.

I found a Bondi Effects 2026 compressor pedal at Caaaashiiies. A compressor is really useful for an autoharp. It can help make sure every string is heard at a consistent level without having to constantly adjust playing strength.
