Spotted this Seiko 7N42-0ch0 at a Cashies being all lonely and nonworking. Gold-tone brick bracelet, 100m depth rating on a watch that will never see water, "COUTURA" printed on the dial for no reason other than that a marketing department needed a nameplate. It's the 2005 Buick Century of watches.

I got a Warp. Using this with passive pickups doesn't work well, so I have a Boss BP-1W on the way. I want to try them together before I draw any impressions, but so far, I find this as delightful as any other heat Soma puts out.

I built a Watchy ESP32 epaper watch today. So far, I'm liking the aluminum case, and the custom faces are really fun. I need to find a MicroUSB cable to connect it with the Arduino IDE and change the location for temperature and weather.

I found a Bondi Effects 2026 compressor pedal at Caaaashiiies. A compressor is really useful for an autoharp. It can help make sure every string is heard at a consistent level without having to constantly adjust playing strength.

I just realized that the lid for this cheese spread tube is the chef's hat and it's adorable.

I like the passive pickups on my D'Aigle, but really, there's something nice about playing it acoustic and just letting the strings sing. I am so happy with it, but I do miss my Oscar Schmidt. It's cheaper, flimsier, and feels like it was built out of old plyboard, but it has a lot of character.

I think that out of all of the instruments that I have packed away, the one that I wish I could play now is the mountain dulcimer. It is so easy to make things that sounded beautiful with very little effort, and it was magical to pluck while I sat there with a cup of coffee.

Before I left, my partner gave me a beautiful new synth, the Pocket Scion. It has some alligator clip leads that connect to any organic material. Using measurements of resistance across the probes, it generates musical sequences. The voice and different music parameters adjust with push buttons.
