It is indeed. It's a strange mix of physically tiring but super energised at the same time! My days are filled with "Education, Education, Education"... (am I possessed by the spirit of PMs past? Oh, the dread!!!!). It's REALLY fulfilling!

Today one broke the camel's back. But we're all guilty of it. Introduced myself at the Partnership Awards as "Director of LITE" not knowing the other person was external. They thought it was fascinating that Leeds had a Director of Light!!! 🤣 Taught me well!

AAAAARRRRGGGGHHHHHH!!!!! My first ever day in the lab at my PhD in the UK: someone showed me a procedure, which ended in "...and you wash with DCM". And me: "what's DCM?". Silence/shock: Everyone stopped what they were doing and stared at the "ignoramus". But I DID know what dichloromethane was!
