People never get out of high school. They treat politics with a “us vs them” mentality. Makes me think all of those “patriots” peaked - if they ever did - in HS. They want to own the libs and dismantle health care, education, social security, and national security just for vanity.

Achievement unlocked: Hypocondriac, Mental Health Edition. All the pharmacy technicians automatically pick up my prescriptions when they spot me. They know my demo by heart. - Note: Not all my meds are synced, so I visit the pharmacy often enough for that to happen 🫠

I made an impulsive buy at Barnes & Noble for this board game. 0 regrets. I recommend: it has a vibe of azul + ticket to ride + scrabble ♟️

Everything as service is making good alternatives to software disappear. Today I was trying to find basically a generate calendar events scheduler with some markdown templates. Couldn’t find it. Or I don’t know how to look for things anymore. I hope it is that 🫠

What is the most hyped coding font people is using on their IDEs? What is your personal favorite? Which you find it overrated? My new favorite font is Monoflow: finaltype.de/en/projects/... #coding #dev

finaltype.de

“It works on my machine” problem is only solved by #Docker if you are not using cloud managed databases (i.e. RDS, Cloud SQL, etc).
Yet we forget to match and keep up to date the config and version between local development and production environments.

Go and look at the line up for #CascadiaPHP! I am excited to give my first post-COVID conference talk. I have 🦋 in my stomach! I can’t wait to see the familiar faces of my #PHP friends. Be nice to me and come talk to me. I’ll be in the hallway track. We can geek about #databases! 💀🫣

So, what type of talk subject you would like to attend? - Rise, fall, and conquer of relational databases? - like when all the hype around MongoDB, migration en mass to it, and the desperate claw back to SQL. - Graph Databases and their underrated power - Vector databases - the readers digest /1
