Samwise @fuzzysay.bsky.social · 11/09/2026@workingclasshistory.com If this is the shed you're looking for, should narrow it down. Spring street is -tiny- today and appears to have been back then and runs parallel to Abbott St. from Californian (Salinas), Volume 7, Number 25, 18 January 1935. 110
Samwise @fuzzysay.bsky.social · 11/09/2026No luck so far skimming newspapers from the era. Apparently they had a ball team and a bowling team at the time. I'm going to keep skimming. I did find an old survey map of the city from early 20th century. Looks like the north end of Abbott at least follows the same route it did back then. 120

Samwise @fuzzysay.bsky.social · 11/08/2025It's warm and I just heard Onions so of course my brain has rocketed me back to the time it was warm and I was reading Grendel and listening to the Coroner's Gambit a lot. To this day the @themountaingoats.bsky.social theory closest to my heart is that that book informed that song. 000
