@workingclasshistory.com If this is the shed you're looking for, should narrow it down. Spring street is -tiny- today and appears to have been back then and runs parallel to Abbott St. from Californian (Salinas), Volume 7, Number 25, 18 January 1935.
Newspaper text reads: "The two wounded men are owners and managers of the Ice Kist Packing shed, a lettuce packing establishment in the Monterey County Ice Company tract on Spring street.

No luck so far skimming newspapers from the era. Apparently they had a ball team and a bowling team at the time. I'm going to keep skimming. I did find an old survey map of the city from early 20th century. Looks like the north end of Abbott at least follows the same route it did back then.

Found an old map and it looks like a tiny little loop in the southeast part of town. Not sure if this is helpful.
