Pretty book post today: my translation of Save Me, the first Maxton Hall novel by Mona Kasten. #booksky #literarytranslation 💙📚 #MaxtonHall

A pile of copies of Save Me by Mona Kasten with one at the top, face out, on a round table, beneath a vase of sunflowers. The cover text is glossy and reflective in dark turquoise with a line drawing of a fancy school building. A sticker indicates that the series is also available on Amazon Prime.

THE FIRST BOOK IN THE INTERNATIONAL BESTSELLING Marton Hall SERIES-NOW AN AMAZON PRIME STREAMING SERIES-IN ENGLISH FOR THE FIRST TIME

THEY COME FROM DIFFERENT WORLDS, AND YET THEY ARE MEANT FOR EACH OTHER.

Money, glamour, luxury, power - Ruby Bell couldn't be less interested in these things if she tried. After being awarded a scholarship to one of England's most prestigious and expensive private schools, Maxton Hall, all she wants is to keep her head down, work hard, and get accepted to Oxford. She keeps her distance from everyone, especially the arrogant, rich, and extremely handsome James Beaufort, ringleader of the school's party boys.

When Ruby discovers a scandalous secret about the Beauforts, she is suddenly on James's radar. It only gets worse when James is forced to work with her to plan the school's annual gala. Though the more time they spend together, the more they realize they share much more than they thought.

Falling for James Beaufort was never part of her plan, yet Ruby can't help but let her feelings sweep her away. However, James must make a decision for himself: Will he choose what's expected of him or what he feels for her?

i am so beyond floored, guys!!!! and so excited to announce that my debut novel MISCLICK will be published with @berkleypub.bsky.social in early 2027!!!!!

a publisher’s marketplace deal report detailing the plot of MISCLICK, by Rae Smyth. The novel is about a woman who, after a bad day at work, drunkenly enters a contest where the prize is co-starring with her favorite adult film actor in his next video and, to her shock, unexpectedly wins, to Cindy Hwang at Berkley

"Maxton Hall is the real goddamn deal: fluttery, heart-in-your-throat television about two people from opposite sides of the socioeconomic spectrum falling wildly, inconveniently in love." [..] "It’s just so good - messy, swoony, emotional, and full of heart."

I’m about 70 pages into Deep End and I can see why it was one of the top ranked books on the #booksky favourites list because wow, this is head and shoulders above her previous books, isn’t it fantastic improvement

The cover of "In Our Nature", a fancomic/doujinshi created by me :). It features Rey sort of lying on the chest of Kylo Ren/Ben Solo, her left hand is on his abdoment and her right arm covers the lower half of her face, he has one hand on her hip and the other on her lower abdomen and thigh. She is mostly nude except for her belt, which is still partly holding up her tunic and wraps, her bra, which is almost completely pulled up and not covering her chest at all, and her arm wraps which are partly unwound. Her hair is in three buns. Kylo Ben is shirtless but still wearing his pants and boot. They are both wet and looking towards the viewer. The cover text reads: "In Our Nature - (a) Star Wars Unofficial Fanbook {Kylo Ren x Rey} - Presented by TheRiseofSwolo & Vanconver" There is also an "Adult only R18+ Do Not Repost" sticker. The Color scheme is blue-greenish and pinkish.

My mistake: the book was first published in 2018, and she got Amazon series deals in 2020!

Yes, it looks like after her fic was published as novels, it got its own fandom. The lead actress herself said MH was originally made for this German fandom. She didn't expect it to be this huge internationally. You're welcome 😊

Dunno abt other Prime series, but from what I gathered, Mona Kasten posted a German dramione fic in wattpad around 2005/2006 before Ao3 existed. She got it published as a book (3 books) in 2008 and was a huge hit in Germany. Then, she secured a series deal w/ Amazon in 2010. They filmed MH in 2022.

Foxes In Love @foxes-in-love.bsky.social · 19/02/2025

$A comic of two foxes, one of whom is blue, the other is green. In this one, Blue and Green are in bed, cuddling with their eyes closed. Green has rolled over to Blue's side of the bed, curling around him as the big spoon. His phone is on the other side of the bed, on his pillow. Green, in thought: Sounds like he's asleep. Green turns away from Blue to look at his phone. Blue frowns in his sleep. Green, still in thought: Now for some phone time. Blue turns around, pulling Green to himself in one swift movement of blue-green blur. For a brief fraction of a second, Green's phone remains dangling in the air as he drops it. Having pulled Green into a tight cuddle in the middle of the bed, Blue continues his peaceful sleep. Still wide awake, Green looks at his phone - which now rests on the other side of the bed, just out of reach - with mild longing. Green, still in thought: Ah.$
