I had been trying to stamp onto regular vinyl, which wasn't working too well, but I bought some printable stuff and it's working really well. ✨ ✨ ✨

A new skirt design: Magpies! Magpies represent luck, both good and bad, and boy, does that feel appropriate to my life right now. #art #original

Close-up of Maya digitally illustrating a repeating pattern of black-and-white magpies in flight, surrounded by white stars and sweeping motion lines on a warm taupe background. A hand holding a stylus is visible working on the artwork on a drawing tablet.

An artist I like recently did a little micro cover of Phony, which reminded me of that time I set out to catalogue every cover of Phony on youtube, a task which I thought would take me maybe a week, but that I spent 2 months doing??? This was impossible btw. There were like 30 new covers every day.

Are you ready for some freaking BOOK RECOMMENDATIONS?? Cause I have them and I'm gonna give 'em to you. Ok here we go:

scrapbook-style digital collage. a piece of notebook paper reads "book recs with rad! theme: books with NO ROMANCE" there is a digital drawing of rad's fursona, a blue starry red panda with horns leaning up against a pile of books, and two mushroom paper cutouts are in the corners.

'tis the season of art prompt lists. i made my own list for OC-tober this year! 🎨 have fun with it. feel free to do as much or as little as you want, repeat the same prompts multiple times, combine with other lists, whatever is fun for you! #OC-tober #OC-tober2026 #OCsky

TITLE: OC-Tober Art Prompts
Description: it's OC-tober, the perfect excuse to spend the whole month drawing your
original characters. you can approach these prompts with whatever degree
of seriousness and effort you want. this isn't a legally binding list of obligations,
it's just ideas to get the gears turning!
the list: • finish an unfinished piece (maybe even more than one)
• design a new character, or finish an unfinished design
• rework a character design that needs some polish
• design a movie poster or a magazine cover
• draw a single-page comic or short storyboard
• draw your OCs in an alternate universe
• draw your OCs in another art style
• find a blank art meme/challenge to do
• draw something you find difficult, using your OC
• draw an OC at a different age than you usually do
• redraw a scene from a movie or TV show with OCs
• draw an OC cosplaying one of the characters that
inspired their design
• redraw a childhood drawing of an OC
• draw two OCs interacting who you haven't before
• play with alternate color palettes
Footnote: re-interpret however you want or combine with other lists! the only
rules are have fun, take care of your wrists, and don't use AI.

I made a silly fake measurement called "metes" in ghost heart, which is 6ft--the basic unit of measurement (like 5ft in dnd), but the longer I sit on it, the more I sour on it. I feel like it should really be more like 3ft, because designing maps around it is honestly kind of annoying.

Happy birthdays John Constantine. A comic about survivor twins and grief. 🧁(1/2)

Cover page for "BIRTHDAYS" a John Constantine hellblazer fan comic by JesnCin. John sits on a swing with a cigarette in his hand, he looks over to an empty swing next to him.

A glowing golden ghost boy stares out at the window.
Narration: How is it that the dead take up so much space in life?
John has his hand on the knob of the door out of his apartment. He looks sadly to the ghost.
Narration: You're not around the same way I get to be. But somehow you're still here.
Flashback to a panel of Aunt Dolly looking stern.
Narration: You're there when I ask Aunt Dolly for two of everything.
Dolly: "Too much sweet's bad for you, boy."

Aunt Dolly approaches the kitchen table and puts her hand on the chair where a young (maybe 10-11 years old) John Constantine sits and fiddles to open a candy wrapper. There's another piece of candy on the table in front of him.
Aunt Dolly asks: "Why two? One for Cheryl?"
John: "Nah, for Goldie."
John successfully gets the candy out of the candy wrapper, but his expression is resigned.
John: "The other one."
We now see young John in bed, clasping the hand of a golden ghostly hand about his age.
Narration: You're the space I leave on the side of the bed,
We pull out to reveal young John and the ghostly golden boy in bed together next to each other, clasping hands as John looks up at the ceiling with tears in his eyes. The golden boy grips his hand and looks at John gently. The bedroom is a mess with socks and shoes strewn about.
Narration: Even when there's no one over.
