NARA announced today (23 June) plans to close regional archive facilities and Federal Records Centers (FRCs) in Chicago and San Bruno/San Francisco. They also plan to remove all temporary records from the Seattle FRC.

The National Archives added 31,841 A-files to the catalog in March! catalog.archives.gov/id/4488912 Included in this transfer are more than 1,000 individuals born in 1925, as their files have eclipsed the 100 year mark.
